Fare thee Well, and Be Back Soon

The Bag Lady is off to see the specialist this morning for her back. Full report later.

**Update** Nothing much to report. He wants me to try more painkillers, and is sending me for physiotherapy.

Carry on with your days...

thinking about you....

Thanks, all of you! Just now noticed the typo in the heading for the post...sigh - should have put my contact lenses in...

Not much to report. He is sending me for physiotherapy, and I am supposed to take more drugs (Advil).

Slow as always, you're back. Well, I hope the physio helps.

Thanks, sis. It might, with luck.

I don't like it when their main answer is take more drugs. I recommend lots of massages by strapping young men.

SB - I like the way you think!!! Will you be my doctor and write a prescription for that so I can show it to the Cowboy? :)

Oohh. Hope you can work the kinks out and feel better. Don't overdo the Advil if you can help it...keep your liver happy.

I agree with SB about the manly massages. I had one for my shoulder from the local manly RMT and it helped a great deal...and it cheered me up too :)

Good luck with your back!

Hubby went through that a few years ago. Actually he doesn't remember most of our wedding due to the drugs and pain. Physical therapy is what finally made the pain tolerable. He is now looking into a decompression table so he can hang upside down in our basement and stretch out his spine. I think it's crazy but he thinks it will help.

*sigh* Men are so wierd sometimes!!

SB is 100 per cent correct.
The massage from a strapping young man is the absolute best thing for all that ails you.

Geosomin - I take Advil only when I really need to - don't like taking too much medication. Think I'll continue that way, regardless of what the doctor said - my liver suffers enough from drinking liquids for "medicinal purposes"! :)

Emily - actually, I have wondered about hanging upside down... men can't be wrong ALL the time! :)

dfLeah - I'll have to try to convince the Cowboy of that...

I agree with intensive and frequent massage therapy! A nice hot tub probably won't hurt either :-)

I'm with Scrumpy on the drugs. But I've heard wonderful things about physio. I hope it works out well for you!

Missicat - hot tub? Massages from strapping young men? Woohoo...

Sagan - I agree about the drugs. I'm really liking some of these other suggestions, though...

Hope it gets better soon!

I've had a couple of back thingies too and they took FOREVER to get better, but did eventually improve. And I rarely take drugs, but the anti-antiflammatories like advil really helped. Keeps swelling down as well as helps with the pain.

But some of the other suggestions sound like more fun!

Nice to 'see' you, Crabby! Yes, the back thing is something that takes a long time - it is actually feeling better than it did when I was first referred to the specialist. Of course, that WAS a year ago....

Im tired.

I read that initially as psychotherapy :)

I say scrumpy has the BEST idea!

Hahahaha - actually, the Bag Lady might benefit from psychotherapy, too!!! :)
And Scrumpy's idea seems to be the most popular therapy suggested so far!
