Havin' A Heat Wave......

The Bag Lady feels like she should be wearing a hat loaded with fruit...or is that reference too obscure for all you young'uns?

It was 80F here yesterday and the Bag Lady worked outside in her yard most of the day. She planted a couple of little branches that the Cowboy's brother trimmed off his Manitoba Maple and is hoping they will take root and turn into trees! She also pulled a lot of weeds and tried to clean up the edge of her gravel walk-way.

She is still checking cows on a regular basis. There are three cows that haven't calved yet. Two of them are old girls, who may not even be in calf, and the third one is the last of the heifers. The Bag Lady thinks she's holding out because she knows the suspense is driving the Bag Lady crazy!

The Bag Lady also had to force herself to stop and go into the house to do some sewing. She has orders to fill for bags, and paperwork that needs doing, but she's like a little kid when it's nice outside - she just wants to be out there! Especially when the evenings are so long.....

The Bag Lady tried for an hour to upload a little video clip showing how nice the evening was here last night, but she had so much trouble, she finally gave up!

Have a nice day!

Ooh, that video clip thing sounds frustrating.

So glad you're getting some great weather--we are too, and it's hard to be indoors when it's so nice out!

Man, bummer you don't reside closer to MizFitville.

The Toddler Tornado & I would be up for a fieldtrip!!

I can see the fruited hat.
Lucky you getting such good weather. It's been mostly overcast here, but the occasional bit of rain sure does make the air smell good.
The cow knows, df Bag Lady. She knows.

Sounds lovely, Baggie. I sure do love my summer. Hopefully you'll have better luck if you try that video upload again. It sure is fun to catch a glimpse inside each others virtual worlds.

my cow, my cow, my cow!!!

Tell her to hurry up and give birth already : )

And I don't blame you one bit for taking advantage of the nice weather...sitting inside for 8+ hours a day can definitly drive one crazy! Crazier?

Crabby - it was very annoying! I'll have to try a different one soon.

Miz - it isn't really THAT far - just a plane ride away!

dfLeah - I'll try to send a little of this down your way.

Missicat - You must have had a well-rounded education! Miranda warnings and all...

SB - it really is nice here right now.

Hilary - it is fun to see each other's worlds, isn't it?

Emily - Yup, that's your cow, and if she doesn't hurry up, I'll just have to name her Mojo!!

You can re-name a cow? Doesn't that confuse them? Or was she never named in the first place?

I think the hat might scare the cows! Mind you maybe that's what you need to do to get the last three to drop their babies!

I am sure you will get the video thing next time you try. Great picture of the cows all trying to get into the shade.

Emily - she doesn't really have a proper name - we just call her Blackie, or the Black cow.

Reb - Yeah, you're probably right about the hat scaring the cows. Or they would think I was edible....

Sagan - yesterday was one of those perfect days - today is still warm, but clouding up a little - we might just get a thunderstorm.
