Paint Drying

Wow. This week has flown by - it's already Thursday?!

The Bag Lady has another physio appointment today. She really hopes her therapist isn't quite as rough on her this time as she was last time. Her therapist believes in a whole body approach, and has worked on several areas other than just the Bag Lady's back. At her last appointment, she worked on the Bag Lady's collar bone area and it is still sore!

Update: the freezing rain has caused the Bag Lady to cancel her physio appointment. She totally chickened out about driving on the icy roads. Now her day stretches ahead of her, empty and forlorn. But she'll think of something.....

The Bag Lady doesn't have a lot to share with you right now. In fact, her mind is pretty much blank. what else is new?

The weather has been relatively mild. Very windy here, which has caused some drifting, which can make driving challenging. The forecast says there is a possibility of rain or snow, or a mixture thereof. Hopefully it will be nothing like the ice storm that punished a lot of the country!

Goodness, this is probably one of the most boring posts in blogland today! Rather like watching paint dry. The Bag Lady will stop now. Thanks for reading her blog. She apologizes for her lack of imagination today.

Love the honesty Bag Lady! Funny stuff. Staring to love your physio as well, maybe I will make it out there to come work in your 'hood after all. They are doing it right, hope your back feels better soon!

I guess the excitement is all here. We have pink eye...again....

Rupal - thanks! I'll tell my therapist to expect you! :) And I really like her "whole body" approach, too.

Miz - AHA - now I know how to get you and the Tornado here for a visit!! I'll just stop posting for a few days! (Of course, I would need that time to clean house and prepare for your arrival.....:))

Marianne - shall I send along the medicine we have for when the cows get pinkeye? Sounds to me as though someone needs to do some serious disinfecting wherever the boys are picking this up!

Even your paint dries in more interesting colours than most. Hope the physio helps. :)

Your life isn't boring to me. And in my world excitement tends to lead to drama, so I pray for boredom.

the Bag Lady said...

Hilary - thanks! Do you like that colour?

Tricia - Oh, there has been some high drama around here on occasion, too.... some days, boring is good!

Bag Lady, I think winter is sapping our will to blog...

Hope the physio goes well!

There is the old curse about having an interesting life...:)

Hope the physio helps...with any luck the more she does the less it will hurt.

the Bag Lady said...

JavaChick - the winter is certainly sapping my will..... sheesh!

Geo - I had forgotten about that curse - you have a point!
And the last appointment was the first time she actually hurt me, so I'm hoping it was an anomaly.

Paint drying? (so when do we get some more "new paint" pictures?)

It sounds better than watching ice not melting.

Mary Anne - has the ice stopped falling from the sky?

How could this be boring? We learned that some woman beat you up last week and you're still feeling the effects. If I can speculate, there may be a lawsuit coming with court dates and depositions. Gale-force winds have hit your area and the snow that remained forced gigantic drifts making driving almost impossible. And if it couldn't get any worse, you're in for the "Storm of the Century" (at least that's what our newscast calls it when we get 3 inches), which should keep you locking in your frontier outpost for the remainder of the winter. I hope you have enough firewood and broth.

It's tax season here. My life could not get more boring right now...
Hopefully you won't get an ice storm - just read that some places (Kentucky I think?) won't get power back for a couple of weeks! brrrrrrr!

Hope the appointment goes well for you! That's rather unusual to work the collar bone area. Stay safe on those roads:)

PS That photo of a flower is so pretty. Am going to be staring at it longingly all morning...

My driveway and yard are one big sheet of ice. Want some?

I nearly killed myself walking down the street this morning. This town needs to get serious about snow and ice removal on the sidewalks. It would be safer to walk in the middle of the street.

I have hand therapy today--that's kind of physio. AND it hurts. So I feel your pain. I'm wondering why anybody would "work" on your collarbone, though. Seems like a weird way to get your back into shape. Maybe Rupal knows...

the Bag Lady said...

Tom - it's not the lack of firewood or broth that would bother me - it would bother me if we ran out of beer!! :)

Missicat - tax season! Isn't that a busy time for accountant-types? Oh, and it is pouring rain right now. Cold, half ice, yucky stuff.

Sagan - the way she explained it was that my rib bones were all jammed together where they meet the sternum just under the collarbone. Not any longer, they aren't!!

kcinnova - the Rancher is home today, out there in the pouring freezing rain, clearing the driveway with the bucket on the loader. So glad he's home!

Melissa - hope your therapy goes well today. Mine has been postponed. Damned weather. (see answer to Sagan for explanation regarding the collarbone work).

Bag Lady-- thanks for stopping in and leaving such kind words over at Miz's place today! Much appreciate the Love!

btw- sorry that you had to miss your appointment but, I feel better knowing your safe at home, icy roads can be scary!

Take Care,
~rupal

You're welcome, Rupal! And I really hated to miss my appt. today. I'm on the cancellation list for tomorrow, but don't hold out much hope.
I am switching therapists at my appointment on Monday. My therapist is turning me over to the woman who does the work in the gym.... me scared...

I'm sorry you're bored and had to miss your physio appointment. You'll find something to do.

You could always sign up for the contest on my new site: http://www.maelstromrock.com

Thinking about the chocolate you might win and what kind of funny story you might want to share would keep you entertained for a little while. Maybe.

BG - what a great idea! Thanks.
I hadn't had time to check out your new site yet, so thanks for the impetus. To check out an incubus.

Sheesh. I'm gonna go clean something.

glad you decided not to go in the f'ing rain ;) I'm sure you will find something to do at home though.

the Bag Lady said...

Oh yeah, there's always something to do, even if it just involves a good book.... and potato chips! LOL

NEVER boring ;) here! I had a bit of a blank mind day today too :)

BL, yes, the ice has stopped falling from the sky, but it's still perched in the tree tops. I still have electricity, unlike 500 thousand other people in this state, which seems unfair when I'm the one with two wood stoves and a cord and a half of wood (which only needs two inches of ice chipped off it to be usable) and enough food to keep my father and me fed adequately, if boringly, for at least two weeks. (Growing up in the country does that to you.) I'm guiltily enjoying it, though.

Annette - glad to know I'm not the only one who suffers blank-brain occasionally!

Mary Anne - you must be doing something right if you still have electricity. It's Murphy's Law, isn't it? When you're prepared, nothing goes wrong....

I wouldn't want to drive on ice roads either. I think that's the only thing I wouldn't like if I moved up north. Otherwise, I love cold weather and wished we had more of that and snow over here.

Relax, enjoy your day!

the Bag Lady said...

Aleta - Thanks! I have been enjoying my day! I'll tell all about it tomorrow.....

Yes,freezing rain is nothing to take lightly! Our favorite neighbor to the north went straight across the road partly into the ditch. We watched as her hubby spent time spinning and finally getting her out. Incidentally, I have a drop-in obedience for my shepherd tonight and I'm probably cancelling out and sticking close to home as well. Just on the funny side, I didn't have my glasses on when I read your blog until I went to get them for the second read- thus, I thought you said rapist, rather than therapist. Ha! Even I had to laugh!
Have a great day book-reading and other such fun!

I have blank-brain envy. Sometimes it's a good thing to have a blank mind -- a brain in need of a rest. I think too much and sometimes can't turn my brain off.

If I were at your ranch today, I'd be spending the day staring out the window, enjoying the view, and maybe enjoying a cup of tea. Cheers, BL. See/read your blog tomorrow. :>)

the Bag Lady said...

Hi, Redbush! Glad to hear you are staying off those icy roads!

Conny - my brain never shuts off either, but sometimes what's in there isn't fit to share on my blog!! :)
