Very Brief Friday Round-up

The Bag Lady has nothing much for you today. She took some pictures last night of a partridge who was hanging around in the feed stacks, but they didn't turn out. ~~sigh~~ She was too far away and it was almost dark, so when she zoomed in to try to get a better shot, the pictures went terribly wrong.

Here is a little video clip she tried to take, but she ended up doing the same thing - tried to zoom in and it didn't work very well! Meh. Nobody's perfect!

She doesn't have much else going on right now, but she feels like she's really busy. How is that possible? Oh, right, she's cooking a big dinner tomorrow and has a multitude of things to do in order to get ready!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I keep forgetting that Canadians have an earlier thanksgiving--Hope it's a great one!

Sorry, I can't think of anything the least bit commentworthy to say this morning, I need more coffee!

Crabby - we are in the same boat, then...I couldn't think of anything commentworthy to post, either!

Well, I did have a terribly traumatic experience last night, but didn't want to upset anyone else....

I don't see many wild chickens any more. Thanks for the video.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Thanks, dfLeah - hope yours is enjoyable, too!

I could tell it was a partridge.
Yesterday I saw half a dozen wild turkeys in the one acre yard of a subdivision house. At that rate, I might actually set eyes on a partridge out at the new house.

Happy Thanksgiving Bag Lady! I'll be there in spirit, sous-cheffing and helping you drink the wine!

Mary Anne - I'm glad you could at least tell it was a partridge! I have never seen a wild turkey, although, apparently, there are supposed to be some around here.

TA - Thanks! I appreciate you being here in spirit, and I'm sure it will make the meal much better to have you as sous-chef! (I'll be sure to lift a glass for you, too! Is white wine okay?)

Have a fabulous Thanksgiving! Eat and drink yourself silly 'cause that's what giving thanks is all about!

Geo - thanks, same to you!

Sagan - Thanks! Hope you have a great holiday, too!

Missicat - Thank you! I shall - two days in a row!

I could still see the amazing fan shaped tail on the partridge...too cool!

Hope you have a great dinner and a great long weekend. :)

Javachick - I was so disappointed when I downloaded the photos onto the computer and discovered they were so badly blurred, it was impossible to discern what they were! At least the video was a teensy bit better.
Hope you have a great weekend, too!
Happy Thanksgiving.

I think that partridge was looking for a pear tree... NO! OOPS! Wrong holiday!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, may your tummies be full of turkey dinner and pumpkin pie!

Thanks, Shammickite - and the same to you and yours!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY? WEEKEND?

when is the blessed event?!

I was looking for the pear tree too.

Happy Turkey Time! :)

Miz - technically, Thanksgiving Day is on Monday. Unfortunately, there are so many in-laws with other family who are cooking Thanksgiving dinner that we had a few scheduling conflicts, so I'm doing my dinner today! It's really just an excuse to have a big family gathering and eat too much food!

Hilary - guess the video was too blurry to see the pear tree, huh?
Happy turkey time to you, too!

We don't really do Thanksgiving in New Zealand but to all you Canadians, have a nice one.
