More babies have been born on the ranch (the Bag Lady may have missed posting a few pictures, but really, how many calves do you wanna look at?)
Remember the cow that abandoned her calf last year? This time around, she won't let anyone near her baby! Including the other calves. The Bag Lady had to sneak up on her to take this picture.
(Does anyone else think the white mark on that calf's head resembles a bird?)
This little guy is very vocal. He tells his mom when he's hungry, when she's moving too fast, when he's hungry, when he's tired..... when he's hungry!
The Bag Lady can hardly wait to start planting her garden. Her garden is the last place in the yard where the snow melts, so it's still on the wet side. The Rancher was going to disc it for her a few days ago, but it was too soft. Soon, she hopes.

Oh, yeah. Snow goose or swan taking off.
Congratulations on all the new babies, and this fellow sure does know how to speak for himself.
It sounds like the cow at the edge of the first pic finally got a calf she liked, lol!
Heh heh - I"ll look at any and all calf photos you've got :)
I know - I've got the itch to clean out our deck and start hanging out out there. Soon...
Hey Lady!
Your babies are adorable as always.
Leah - that's what I thought, too! Swan or snow goose.
BG - you could be right. Maybe last year's calf smelled funny or something.... :)
Geo - Glad you like the calves! We've been spending time on the deck, but only when the sun is shining! It's been too chilly, otherwise.
Hey, Scrumpy!! Long time, no see! I might be traveling your way this summer.... if I can afford it. I'll let you know!

ALL of them, sweetie!
Glad to see that second-time mom seems to have read Calf Care 101 in readiness for this season and is managing a little better.
Seconding Dawn on How Many Calves Are Enough.
I got to read this yesterday, when other blogs (including mine) were unavailable to me, but trying to comment made it explode. Or maybe implode. And I forgot what I meant to say.

Chiming in to say i like the calf pics, too. Yes, his spot does resemble a bird.
As much "fun" as it is to raise orphans, i'm glad you are spared that this year.
Isn't it fun to see how even the youngest babies of all species have their own personalities?
"How many calves do you wanna look at?"
Same as Dawn & Solarity: ALL of them! :)
I could see this in my reader on Friday but of course could not comment then. I'm trying to catch up.
