Catching Up

The Bag Lady took the Rancher's uncle and her mother-in-law to town yesterday for Uncle's consultation with the oncologist.

The news was good. Uncle does not need any treatments, except for follow-up blood work every three months for a couple of years and an occasional Xray. He was much relieved and is ready to go back to his own place.

The Bag Lady has some catching up to do on her housework and yard work and paper work. Gosh, that sounds like a lot of work! She also has some play time scheduled, don't worry! She and the Rancher are invited to a birthday party on the weekend.

And there has been another addition to the ranch:

One of these days she hopes she will have enough time and some inspiration to write an actual blog post.

Have a good weekend!

Hey! Your blog postings are just fine. We don't need sagas.. just a little update as to what's going on with you.

Great news for Uncle!

I second the motion for more calves. A dose of sweet calve-ary and I don't have the will to complain about anything!

Missicat - thanks! And that little cutie is pretty feisty - already running across the pasture!

Vee - thanks. Some days that's all I can manage.

Mary Anne in Kentucky - thanks. Glad you enjoy the pictures of the calves!

Clare - thank you. The calves have been really slow this year - won't have another one for a little while, unfortunately. (unless one of the cows surprises us!)

Well, that is good news, I'll bet you are all relieved. Cute calf.

the Bag Lady said...

Reb - yup. Now if we could just get him home without actually having to drive that far.... :)

df Bag Lady,

Wonderful news about Uncle. May he have a long and healthy life.

Keep the baby pictures coming!

And take a little time to enjoy yourself at the birthday party. Life is not all about work!

Great news about the great news!

And that is the cutest calf yet. Golly, they are just popping out those baby cows regular, aren't they?

the Bag Lady said...

POD - thanks!

dfTerrie - thank you. And I'll do my darnedest to have a good time at the birthday party!

Melissa - thanks. There will be a slight pause now for awhile in the calf production. At least, as far as we can tell - none of the rest of the cows look like they are going to be ready for a few days (weeks?).

Counting blessings: good health news for Uncle and all those sweet baby calves!

There will always be work... so take the time to put it off! that's what this procrastinator does ;)

the Bag Lady said...

kcinnova - I'm the procrastination queen around here, believe me! I have managed to catch up on a few things today, but not as many as I would have liked to. sigh.
