Here are some little video clips for your enjoyment.
The first clip is FARLEY, taken not long after she was born. She is up and looking for some milk.
She was born yesterday around noon.
This next clip is PEGASUS, and it was taken today around noon. He was born last night around 9 pm. Take note of his size in relation to Princess (the dog)!!
Pegasus is a substantial calf. Quite something to see its size when compared with the dog.
He is very substantial. His poor mother was pretty played out by the time it was all over!
Oh, what a cutie! Had to pick him up to see if he could stand? I think he is waiting for his wings to come in!
Great video. Thank you, df Bag Lady.
Reb - that's about right! Had to see just how big he really is. And he is!
dfTerrie - you're welcome!
Maybe he'll become good friends with the dog! (if he doesn't bowl him over... hehe).
The dog would love that! She always wants to play with the calves, but the cows aren't crazy about the idea, so she gets chased out of the pasture quite often!
Wow.. they're really quite amazing. I'm always so impressed that animals such as cows and horses start walking from the start. Cute critters.
They are amazing - up and trying to get some milk within half an hour, usually.
I want to introduce pegasus to my bullmastiff hercules :)
Hooray, more cute baby cows!!!!!
Don't make me wanna live on a farm, please? I really don't want to move again.
Guess I'll just have to content myself with the same tired old cat. (Who is being pretty adorable lately, actually. She loves our new place because she finally gets to go outside after a lifetime of living near a busy street).
Mizfit - pretty sure Pegasus will outgrow Hercules....
Crabby - pretty sure a visit to a ranch in the middle of the spring thaw would cure you of any desire to live there!
