It's a Wrap

Last week, the Bag Lady harvested her garden, and one of the items was a very small cabbage. She wanted to do something different with it.

First, she cut it up:

Then she mixed it with some ground pork, spices and a few other ingredients, and wrapped it in home-made wonton wrappers:

Fried them in hot oil:

And, voila! Deep-fried wontons:

They were PDG (pretty darned good), if she does say so herself!

You are one talented cook -- want to come be a visiting teacher in my cooking class?

Such a pretty little cabbage. I like wontons, but not enough to do that much work.

Mary Anne in Kentucky, drooling anyway

Homemade wrappers? I only know one other person who does that, and she's Chinese!

Thanks, everyone. They were tasty, but next time (if there ever is a next time!) I would probably use purchased wrappers. Just to see the difference.
