They spent part of their time at camp fixing up their camp spot and building a firepit. It was raining a little on Wednesday when they arrived, but not enough to dampen their
It wasn't nearly as dark as it appears when the Bag Lady took this picture.
This was the view from their campsite. There was a family of wood ducks on the pond, and the Bag Lady spent some time every day watching them. If you click on this picture, and then click on it again to enlarge it, you can just see them swimming along.

It looks like fun, and so peaceful. I'm glad your beer wasn't dampened. Or your spirits.
Thanks, cousin! It was a good time, and yes, peaceful. For us, anyway. I'm sure the ducks were a little disturbed by our presence.
I miss camping. Haven't been in ages. Looks like you had a lovely spot!
I hope the weather got better (and the beer held out for the duration).
Welcome back.
Camping without beer is like watching [American] football without beer. It can be done, but it's not anywhere near as fun.
Camping and ducks! What's not to like?
Looks so peaceful there. Glad you had lots of beer.
Hey! You're using your new unit! Hurrah! It's been a long time coming, and is gorgeous as is your shot of the large pond. My motto is - Never go camping without beer! I hope your camping was fun!
Looks like it was an excellent Test Drive.
JavaChick - it was great fun!
messymimi - yes, the weather improved and there was plenty of beer!
kcinnova - true. Canadian football is also much improved with a beer or two.
bunnygirl - it was wonderful to watch the ducks! They were so small, and could move so fast!
Reb - it was great. Nice and quiet.
Redbush - it was fun. Especially when the neighbours stopped in for a visit! :)
Mary Anne in Kentucky - it was a great test drive. A distance of three miles. But it was away from home!
