The Bag Lady took her camera on a tour of her flowerbed the other day and captured these pictures to share with you.

California poppies:

Something she doesn't know the name of.... but it's pretty!

Oriental lilies:

She is waiting patiently for her sweet peas to bloom. She has tried growing sweet peas several times, but has never had much luck with them, until this year. She will probably bore you silly with pictures of them, once they bloom!

Not boring at all. Please, as many flower pics as you want to share.

I'm fairly sure the flower you can't identify is a zinnia. At first I thought dahlia, but the petals are wrong. Then upon thinking I realized it was likely a zinnia and I looked for images and I'm like 98% certain that's what it is, or something very close to it.

LOVED seeing such lovely things this morning, hon. xoxo

Lovely flowers, Baggie.

I hope your sweet peas do well. My mother could grow them, but they won't behave themselves for me.

I love flowers! I know that's about as original as saying I love ice cream (what's not to love?) but seeing your pics made me smile. Esp. the poppies. I don't know why but I love poppies.

I'm wondering if the unidentified orange flower is a calendula.

Lovely garden.

Thanks, cousin!

Messymimi - be careful what you wish for! :)

VL - thanks! After reading Dawn's comment below, I compared the zinnia and calendula images on Wikipedia, and I think Dawn is probably right. There is a photo of calendula's that is almost identical to the plant growing in my garden. (That's what happens when someone gives you seeds from their garden - you end up with flowers you don't know the name of!)

Reb - soon! One of them bloomed yesterday!

Hilary - thanks!

Mary Anne in Kentucky - I am quite excited about the sweet peas! This is the first year they have actually grown for me!

Charlotte - I agree! I think part of the reason is that we have such a short growing season here - I just love to look at the flowers!

Dawn - thanks for the tip! I think you are right. As I said above, I compared photos and am pretty sure my flower is a calendula.

I love all those, great shots! I will never get tired of flower pictures. I love flowers. I think that's a zinnia, too.
