Cuteness!

Here is the newest addition to the ranch. He was a little camera-shy, unfortunately, and far more interested in getting a drink of milk than he was in posing for a picture!

His mama is a sweet-natured cow, but she wasn't interested in the photo-shoot either, so the Bag Lady left them alone.

Here is a sight the Bag Lady sees quite frequently; one that has a tendency to startle her guests and make them laugh:

When the cat wants in, he suddenly pops up, standing on the table outside the kitchen window and peering in the window, yowling!
Clever cat.

Very clever cat, and, like mine, not subtle at all about what he wants.

Always good to see a new member of the family! Hope they are all doing well.

Hooray for baby calves! (And smart move to leave mom and baby alone).

Love the cat's solution to the "let me in right now!" problem.

That is a very handsome cow, and I hope her calf takes after her.

I had to read the text following the picture to figure out what startled your guests. I'm too used to critters looking in the window (sometimes even turkeys.)

I love the ways of the cat. They are so entertaining. (Once you accept the fact that they rule the world.)

Cute calf. Loved the cat's determination.

Messymimi - oh yes, that cat is clever!

Carla - glad to hear you made it home safely - and I'm looking forward to hearing more about the weekend.

Crabby - ordinarily that cow is very docile, but a new mom can be very protective, and I wasn't about to find out how protective she could be!

Mary Anne in Kentucky - we seldom have animals looking in the windows, and the cat's appearance is always so sudden, it has even made me jump on occasion!

Scrumpy - part of the problem around here is the fact that the Princess dog simply will not accept the fact that cats rule the world! Makes for some entertainment occasionally.

dfLeah - thanks! The cat is definitely determined.

Thanks, Sagan!!

Clever cat. Mine is a nuisance in the kitchen when I cook so he goes out on the deck when I make supper. I am treated to similar howly operas through the window as I cook.
Who said a little dinner music was a bad thing? :)

Reminds me of Patches. Cute calf.

We had a cat look in our window once. Our cat wasn't too happy about it, since the other cat was a feral!

Welcome to the world, little calf!

AWWW!! And that cat is HILARIOUS. I could see where a guest might get startled!

the Bag Lady said...

Geo - this cat has done that since he was a kitten - who knows how long he'd been howling at the door without results!

Reb - Yes, but Patches was even funnier because she would jump from the ground and cling to the window screen, howling!

BG - we've had some nasty cat fights around here - the neighbour's cat visits periodically (an un-neutered male) and all kinds of yowling and carrying on ensues.

Marste - our island/breakfast bar where we frequently sit when we entertain, faces the window. We've had more than one guest jump, then start to laugh and point. :)

My cat is sprawled across the patio as if she has melted.

What is baby cows' name?

Levi said...

Wow, clean counters!

Marianne - new baby calf doesn't have a name yet - wanna name him?

POD - my windowsill always looks like that.... except when it doesn't!! hehehehe

Oh my god, the cuteness! I've been wanting a pet lately...ya think a cow could be happy in a small apartment? I'd let her sleep in my bed...

So why does that second photo of the calf remind me of the Rancher?

the Bag Lady said...

Haley? Is that you? Good to see you! I'm thinking you probably don't want to share your bed with a cow - they are so hard to housebreak.... :)

Hilary - *giggle* - I won't tell him you said that! (should I have censored the calf's butt, too?)
