At Long Last......

Here is a little video the Bag Lady put together to show you the paint job at her mother-in-law's house.

There are still a few finishing touches needed, but most of the painting is done until Mother decides she wants the bedrooms painted, too!

For another video of the Bag Lady in action, check out her sister's blog, Sibu Pegasus Power. Reb has posted a video she took when she came up to visit the Bag Lady last week.

woo it looks much better!

I'm especially jealous of the colour in the living room - that's very similar to what I'd want to paint ours if we weren't renting.

you should SO not have posted that, BL.

I think Id like to request the tornado's room painted.

Id prefer all pink walls with ONE of pink camo but I guess I could be talked into something different.

this is free, yes?

you got some mad skills, woman.

That looks like SO much work!! How long did it take?? I would have to break that down over a month, I'm so lazy!

LOVE the colours, the dusky pink in the kitchen is very similar to what I have in my bedroom. Really warms the space up and looks so, so smart!

Great job!!! Lovely colors. My kitchen is MUCH smaller and would be very easy to do! hint hint. hehe
I put together a set of shelves with sliding doors this weekend all by myself! *pats self on back*

Christine - thanks! It took a long time to settle on that colour. Mother chose the kitchen colour in a snap - said it just jumped out at her from amongst the gazillion samples. But the living room colour was a harder choice.

Miz - all pink with one pink camo wall would be adorable!!! Ummm, perhaps the price of the plane ticket down there would be all that would be required - oh, and a place to lay my weary body after all that painting! :)

TA - it actually did take us a month, if you take into consideration the down time between rooms! Actual painting? About a week and a half, but that was because it was very, very humid when we painted the kitchen and the paint took FOREVER to dry. Painting all the trim is what took so long - painstaking job!

Missicat - good for you!! It took me 3 hours to put that cupboard together! (Oh, how I long for the days when the instructions were actual words AND pictures, rather than just blurry pictures.....)

Paint, hammer, BANANA?!? Hahaha!

It looks great, BL! I don't envy you, having to paint all that trim. The storage nook, now I could use one of those!

It looks so much better!

I love the colors, but unfortunately we're not allowed to paint, so I'm stuck with white walls for the time being.

Excellent job. It really opened up and brightened the place.

Gena - that poor banana sat there amidst all that painting paraphernalia for 3 days - I simply had to take it's picture!
The storage nook was originally supposed to house a built-in china cabinet. It's a mystery why it didn't get built.

Tricia - thanks! It's awful to be renting, isn't it?

dfLeah - thanks! I really love the colours!

Thanks, Sagan! We did have a lot of fun - my (almost) 80 year old mother-in-law is the coolest!!

Looks good! Looks hard...not a painter here. My wife does that! :)

Mark - that sounds like my house, too! :)

Wow...nicely done! She must be very pleased. And putting together furniture with no leftover bits - THAT is an accomplishment!

Isn't it amazing what a little colour will do ? :)
I think it's unfair you got stuck with all the trimmy bits...I always found the colour to be way more fun. Now I'm definitely itching to paint our spare room...

Well done Sis! Love the music choice too! The living room is a bit lighter than what they are putting in the apartments here and looks better too.

Thanks for the shout out.

Geo - I think she is pleased! And I'm not telling how long it took me to put that cabinet together......:)
I actually don't mind doing all the trim - just wish I could see better! (that old age thing going on!)

Reb - thanks! I wondered if anyone would notice the pictures coinciding with the words of the song.....
