News Flash

Some of you regular readers of the Goat's Lunch Pail may have been wondering where Leah has disappeared to. Well, I have finally gotten the go-ahead from her to disclose that she has been taken ill with congestive heart failure. This has come as quite a shock to all of us (not least of all, Leah!). She has always taken care of herself – she doesn’t smoke, rarely drinks, eats well-balanced, nutritious food, gets plenty of exercise. In other words, she has done everything right and still ended up falling ill.

She has been moved from hospital to hospital, and is now in the University Hospital in Edmonton, undergoing a battery of tests to try to determine what has caused this. I know that she would be most pleased to receive your good wishes (and virtual chocolates!), so anyone who wishes to have a message passed on to her can leave it in my comment’s section and I will ensure that she receives it! I will also keep you posted on further developments as I hear them.

Well, I'll be the first unless someone is typing at this very same moment.

Please send on my best wishes to her. My Mum has suffered from CHF for about a year now...it takes a bit to get a hold of and adjust life and medications a bit to get things level. I hope she takes the time and has good medical help to get her back on track.
Be well...Merry Christmas Leah.

Oh, no! I hope it's some consolation that her overall good health will help her pull through more quickly. That healthy lifestyle was not in vain and she'll be blogging again in no time!

Give her my best wishes!

Well, I'm sure I speak for the Women of Mystery in saying we're sorry Leah's ailing, glad she's been moved to where she can get the best care, and have our fingers crossed and our hopes high for her quick recovery and return to the blogways!

Clare2e - Thank you, too, and I know Leah will be glad to hear from you.

I can't seem to print this, but I am going to visit Leah today and my new phone has web access on it, so she will be able to read them all for herself.
