Crash Tinkle Tinkle

The Bag Lady was going to post a lovely tutorial on pickling carrots, complete with pictures and everything.
Unfortunately, her computer had other ideas.
Her computer doesn't think anyone would be interested in pictures of carrot pickling, so it has decided she can't post those pictures.
Her computer doesn't think anyone would be interested in any pictures at all.
Her computer needs a good swift boot to an important part. Too bad the Bag Lady doesn't know which important part to kick!
Her computer is really pissing her off.
Her computer probably needs something, but is too stubborn to come right out and tell her what it's pouting about. It just does this annoying ssslllooowwwiiinnnggg down, then freezing. Why does the Bag Lady have to put up with getting the cold shoulder from a freakin' machine!?
Then her computer crashes.

She finally has a lot of things to share - pictures of her flowers and her camping trip and pickling.... maybe tomorrow.

Ooomph! I hate it when my computer does that.

In the meantime, can you give us an update on the dandelion wine? Or did I miss that when I was on vacation?

and you resurrected it ok??

why does the computer crashing--even when Ive been smart enough to save stuff which I only learned AFTER a harddrive crash---send me into a panic?!

Start talking about the nice new computer you were looking at in town, and your old one will suddenly be on its best behaviour again. :-)

One of my favorite little one box comic strips had a picture of a lady holding a huge axe and yelling at the computer, "Password denied, huh! I'll show you password denied!"

Sometimes I feel the same way.

kcinnova - I siphoned the wine out of the bottles to get rid of the sediment, and now it is sitting patiently, doing whatever it does in order to become real wine. At least, I hope that's what it's doing! Guess I'll find out in another few months.

Mizfit - I don't know if it's really okay, but it has come back to life this morning.... I'll keep limping along and see if I can figure out what's wrong.

diddums - good idea! Although, with my luck, that would send it into an even bigger pout and I actually would have to go to town and get a new one!! :)

messymimi - that cracked me up! That's exactly what I feel like doing! :)

Tell it you love it and thank it for all it has done for you. Caress the screen a few times, too.
If that does not work, then explain that if it needs to be retired, then it's of to recycling and who knows who will get it next...

dfLeah - oh, perhaps I was using the wrong approach yesterday by cursing it and telling it that I would hurt it somewhere vital!
Might try the sweet approach.
Thanks!

I threaten my computer, "I wouldn't be such a smart ass if I had a glass face."

But it is still mean to me. I dropped my laptop when cousin was here. It has not been the same since.

Hubby is an I.T. specialist guy so he "rebuilds" my and my friends computers all the time. Thank goodness.

Oh, and we never talk about money in our car or in front of major appliances.

Sparrow - I need your hubby.... mine thinks computers are the devil's tool and won't have anything to do with it! Sigh.

Sounds like the Bag Lady needs a new computer!

The Bag Lady just needs to learn a little more about how to do maintenance-type things on her computer!
She's really computer-illiterate.

Glad to hear it is behaving itself today.

Thanks, sis - I had to do a little threatening, but it seems to have worked!

Computers are dumb. No wonder we humans depend on them. ;)

It's just sulking because you were busy with all those other devices: sewing machines, paint brushes, stoves, campers....

I've sent you an email at cartsmart.

Georgie - computers are only as dumb as the person operating them. Mine is really, really dumb. Sigh.

Mary Anne in Kentucky - you are probably right - it's jealous! :)
