Weekend Additions

It was a productive weekend on the ranch. Saturday morning, the Bag Lady went out to check cows and discovered this fellow had arrived:

And so had this one:

Sunday brought this little guy..... the Bag Lady can't resist calling him Moonie because of the white half-moon spot beside his nostril.

Sunday was a bright, sunny day, so the Bag Lady and the Rancher took a little stroll along the path the Rancher had plowed for the cows to get to the waterer.

And this little guy found a puddle to paddle in. (You may have to click on it to enlarge to actually be able to see the duck!) The ducks and geese are returning, but they aren't finding much open water.

Hopefully the weather will warm up soon for all the creatures (including humans!)

Nice healthy calves! I love the first one, with the matching faces on mama and baby.
The geese are heading north, too. I see them every morning.

They are so cute, it almost makes me want one. Glad the animals are doing well.

Wow - how many calves are left to go?
We've got geese back here as well. I can hear them honking on the river in the morning.
Spring *is* coming after all :)

Moonie! How adorable he is, or she is! I guess the ducks are happy with the arrival of open water, too, no matter how small a pond!

Aw! I think Moonie is a great name. :)
