Friday!

I've been playing around with the layout of this blog, inspired by Hilary over at the Smitten Image! The changes also seem to have had an effect in unexpected areas (like the "compose new post" section) so this may take some getting used to!

In other news, I've decided to drop the third person writing in this blog, at least, for this particular post! It was getting a little tiresome. I may switch back and forth a bit, because old habits are hard to break!

It's been another busy week in my life. We have been suffering through some colder weather, with lots of snow falling. In fact, it's snowing again right now. Most of March was warm and mild, until spring officially arrived, when winter hit again. Sigh. The forecast is for warmer weather to move in over the weekend, though, so perhaps we'll catch up with the rest of the world soon. I have to confess, I'm looking forward to seeing some green grass and flowers!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Cool new look!
More snow? Yipes. Hope it smartens up soon. I know you need the moisture, but why can't it be rain?

I like it - very warm and welcoming. :)

It's been wierdly cold here too. I'm hoping it finally moves into spring and stays there. I'd love to see a few tulips pop up :)

We had some beautiful weather last weekend, this morning we had snow and the temperature is supposed to keep dropping. Boo! :(

dfLeah - Thanks! I wouldn't object to rain - especially now, as it would help get rid of the snow.

Geo - Thank you. I'm looking forward to seeing tulips, too. Anytime now.

Hilary - thanks. Your new look inspired me to do something to update my look!

Javachick - it is supposed to warm up here this weekend. Have all my fingers and toes crossed!

df Bag lady,

I love the background but have trouble reading the text. Could be my tired old eyes.

Still, I just come to comments and click on show original post and all is well.

"Third person?" I never noticed.
We're supposed to get into the 80s by Sunday with RAIN ALL FREAKING NEXT week.
Love,

BTW, I like the larger font/txt. Since I sit 5 feet back from this enormous screen. But I'm missing the 3rd person. waaah

Love the new look! Writing in the first person is a good idea although I really liked the Bag Lady and Rancher mode, too.

dfTerrie - oh no! I don't have trouble with the text, except in the sidebar, a little..... just thought it was because I didn't have my reading glasses on! I don't know if there's anything I can do to change it, but I'll look into it.

POD - you didn't notice I didn't refer to myself as me?? Oh, dear.
:)

Cheryl - thanks. I'll probably switch back and forth between the two styles - old habits are hard to break!

I got sleet on the way to work this morning, so don't feel your spring's the only one lagging behind.

Mary Anne in Kentucky - I hate sleet. And freezing rain. And black ice. Today I also hate snow. Sigh. Does this make me sound negative?

It was beautiful here yesterday, rainy and cool today and some idiot newscaster actually used the "S" word for tonight. WHAT???? Did I move to Canada and forget about it???

the Bag Lady said...

Missicat - I'm pretty sure you'd remember moving to Canada! We're just trying to make you appreciate your weather by sending you some of ours! :)

It may not be spring where you are, but it sure looks like spring on the blog! I hope things warm up for you soon.

the Bag Lady said...

Anonymous - Mom, is that you? :)

BG - I'm hoping the new blog setting will trick me into thinking spring is here! The forecast is for a warmer weekend, which is making me happy!

We had snow flurries yesterday, which made me miss the 70-F degrees we had last weekend. The cold has returned just in time for our spring break to NYC. Oh, well -- better to wear a jacket than be too hot, right?

Hilary is full of inspiration, isn't she? :)

kcinnova - funny how our weather always seems to be opposite! It is quite balmy here today.
And yes, Hilary certainly is inspirational!

Here's to grass and sun and warmth -- I believe in some areas the season is called road repair? ;)

messymimi - you have that, too? We have two seasons - winter and road construction!! :) (unfortunately, it's still winter here, but getting warmer......)

LOVE THE NEW LOOK!
I sorely need me some blogbotox as well.
you hire out?

the Bag Lady said...

Miz - I'm not sure you'd want me helping - I'm pretty inept when it comes to this computer stuff.... :)

Playing with layouts is fun! I hope the weather is as nice for you as it is for us today :)

Like the new look Sis.

the Bag Lady said...

Sagan - it has warmed up here, and the geese are back, so it just might be spring! :)

Thanks, Reb!

For the record I enjoyed the third person approach.

Thanks, David. I'll probably switch back and forth, depending on what I have to say (or what the Bag Lady wants me to tell you!)
