Sizzlin'

The Bag Lady has a few photos of her pepper plants to share with you today. Although these are a little difficult to see (try clicking on the photo to enlarge it), these super-chili plants are loaded with peppers:
Here is a close-up of some cayenne peppers:

And the banana peppers are doing really well:

The Bag Lady is really looking forward to making some salsa or chili. Soon.

Thanks for the hot pics.
They look like they're really doing well, and they look very tasty.

Those banana peppers look yummy. I did make it to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and bought some fresh produce, but still not quite like growing it yourself!

It never occurred to me that one might GROW cayenne peppers. I thought they were born ground up into powder in little glass jars at the supermarket.

They certainly are abundant. You know that is one crop I won't come and try to steal though! ;)

Looks like you are going to have a bumper crop of peppers! Once you have to tomatoes to go with them...We will all be dropping by to try out that salsa!

:)

Baggie, knowing that you make your salsa without cilantro.. means you make perfect salsa. I'll bring the nacho chips!

Great photos.. fun to watch their growth.

dfLeah - thanks - I can't believe how fast some of them have been growing!

Missicat - there's nothing quite like fresh, homegrown stuff.

Carla - you don't like peppers? Oh, no! You'd probably like my salsa, though, because I make several batches in varying degrees of heat.
And your room is ready.....

Crabby - and they look so pretty and innocent whilst they grow!
(I'll grind some up and send them to you...send me your address)

Reb - I know they'd be safe with you!

Javachick - we'll have a salsa-tasting party!! Woohoo!!

Hilary- thanks! Yup, don't like cilantro in my salsa (now everyone knows my big secret).

Wow, when you said you grew peppers, I didn't know you meant a variety. I thought only those of us living in the former Spanish colonies were big pepper growers! (Speaking of North America, of course. I'm well aware that other parts of the world love their peppers, too.)

I'm looking forward to your salsa recipes!

Sydney - it's something you have to work up to. I love spicy food, but find if I haven't had it for awhile, I have to take it easy.

BG - it's only in the past few years that I realized peppers would grow here! I admit, I tend to go a little overboard. It's partly hubby's fault - he encourages me to buy different types. (we have to buy them as bedding plants from the nursery.)

Now this makes me homesick. Haven't had a garden in 10 years, and I WANT one. I wish there were a community garden somewhere around. Though I AM growing basil and parsley in a big pot on my balcony! :-)

I can relate - I was garden-less for a long time, and I really missed it!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Melissa!
