And poor Charlotte over at the Great Fitness Experiment was so unimpressed with the drink, she threw up! So, like the intrepid guys on the television show, methinks that myth is busted! (But it did taste good....)
The Bag Lady had another physiotherapy appointment yesterday, and things are progressing. The therapist is targeting various muscle groups, trying to stimulate them and remind them of what their jobs are! Yesterday she was trying to wake up some of the Bag Lady's sleeping glutes.
The weather is decidedly winter-like again. It snowed a lot, and the temperature has plummeted, so the Bag Lady is still in hibernation mode. The Rancher is still on night shift, and the Bag Lady is getting pretty good at tip-toeing around! She wonders if tip-toeing is a good butt-strengthening exercise.
The Bag Lady has to keep reminding herself that spring is just around the corner. Of course, the corner is still quite a distance away, but spring will be there when we get to the corner. Really.

Ha! Poor glutes :)
I am feeling the spring love already! Can't wait!
Hey there O'Sore Butt,
Spring is SO around the corner.
Yesterday it was too hot here. Might be time for you and the rancher to grab the cowboy hats and YEEHAW head to TX!
It's still probably calories in, calories out. Of course if a person vomits, then they're out, too. Ugh.
Wow, I'm glad I didn't try the cinnamon thing.
"Apple...core." *giggle* That was very cute!
The honey-cinnamon thing is very tasty and a great help to an upset tummy. That said, I was up 3 lb the day after trying it. I will keep on with it for a while. I am looking to being cured of everything and I simply cannot wait until it restores my hearing!!!!
First - I think MizFit is taunting us cold weather'ed folk!!
Second - while the honey/cinnamon thing was kind of a bust, I sure enjoyed "experimenting" with you! Let's do it again!!
How does three tablespoons of honey and cinnamon translate into 3 pounds? Baggie, you weren't supposed to drizzle it on that apple pie!
And can you please turn up the volume on Leah's comment? I can't hear her.
So you got a butt workout! Isn't that FUN???
I so want Spring to be here....if I see it will send it your way!
So far, I am not finding the honey cinnamon concoction too compelling! If you and Leah both report instant weight gain, and Charlotte reports barfing... no thanks!
And here's to spring, the sooner the better!
I keep saying I can't wait for spring, but now that it's less than a month away I need to remind myself of how much I have to do when the weather warms up:
Start a vegetable garden (that's the relatively easy part), move two mature boxwoods, one two foot tall holly tree, five different types of daffodils, seven different colors of iris, as many lilies-of-the-valley as I can find room for, some daylilies and some lavender, and some black-eyed Susans if any come up this year, and (but not until summer!) three kinds of peony.
And at this point I'm not even finished moving the books and bookshelves...
Mary Anne in Kentucky
Rupal - our temperature this morning was -36C (with the windchill) - I'm not feeling my fingers, let alone the spring love!!!!!
Miz - Yeehawing to Texas sounds like a great plan! Got room for the cows in your backyard? Calving starts in March....
Hi, therapydoc - at least with Charlotte's method, the calories don't stick! :)
Melissa - thanks! The honey and cinnamon tastes good, but gosh... three pounds in a day?! Sheesh.
dfLeah - let us know when your hearing improves so we can quit yelling! :)
Charlotte - I agree - who knew Miz had such a mean streak!!? And yes, I enjoyed the experimenting together, too. Maybe the next time will be more successful!
Hilary - ssshhh... I'm not sure if it was the honey/cinnamon drizzled on the apple pie, or the ice cream that I put on the pie first.....
Missicat - no pain, no gain, right? I had no idea those glutes were on vacation! But the party is over...back to work!
Crabby - hopefully, spring will be here before you start your cross-country trek! (You are planning to travel the long way around and come up here on your way, aren't you?)
Mary Anne in Kentucky - sounds like spring is going to involve quite a bit of work for you, but your new yard will look great when you're done! (And you can move those peonies in the spring before they bloom, can't you?)
3 pounds, well, that'll stop me from trying it. Lol. Sqauts - good for the glutes. Have fun with the core stuff, I'm horrible with core exercises. I like that though - apple shape and core. Cute!
Spring is here in the South! Drop on by. We're...just around the corner! Sort of.
Aleta - don't say squats! Makes my butt hurt to even think of them! :)
BG - be careful - I might take you up on it!!! :)
Why is it that the corner between winter and spring is so long, but the corners between spring summer and fall are so short?
You have to video those exercises and post them so we can all benefit from them ;)
Reb - I have no idea why those other corners are so short...wish we could cut this one.
And no, I don't think there will be a video of my butt exercises anytime, ever. Really.
Not. Ever.
3 lbs........time to go chase a cow ;)......just kidding ;)!
Oh, no! Maybe that's what's wrong with me! I've been on the concoction for three months now! Did I mention that I had a beer with each glass? It must be the cinnamon in the cinnamon roll! At any rate, the apple shape might be a little better than my pear shape. Oooooh, I'm longing for the hour-glass figure!
Hopefully that spring corner will come soon!
Annette - you might actually be on to something!!
Redbush - beer and cinnamon and honey? Sounds... err..... interesting....
And you're right - hope that corner comes soon!
What Mizfit said. Hope you're having a good week. Was waiting for the results on the honey love me some cinnamon with hot water. Phew thanks... Yikes 3 lbs in one day? Thats a lot.
Maggie - yeah - I was a little surprised.
Really? You sure about that? Sighs...
What kind of core exercises are they? Video demonstration? :D
Too bad honey and cinnamon had a negative effect... things that taste good oughtta DO good to our bodies too! Hehe.
Let me know if your apple core strengthens up, because mine could sure use it, too!
If it's an upset tummy you want to calm down, I still vote for chamomile tea.
Sagan - I guess there really is no magic cure. Dammit.
:)
And the core exercises? Hard to explain, and no, no - definitely not video-worthy! At least, not with me in a starring role!
kcinnova - the core exercises are subtle - designed for increasing stability. I think Rupal could probably explain them better than I can - check out her blog!
