Wednesday Woes

The Bag Lady's computer has been having "issues" again. Well, partly it was her internet server... she couldn't get onto the internet yesterday afternoon. This morning, she had to wait for what seemed like hours (and was probably more like minutes....) before she could get into anything, so she is going to keep this short in case the kinks aren't exactly worked out.

If things seem okay, she may post again later today - if not, definitely tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

My computer (or, apparently, my wireless-router-with-modem) is feeling your computer's pain. This morning it wouldn't even dial. Usually it dials and then hangs on connecting, but this time (after checking the phone--not ITS problem) I had to restart the router before it would wake up and dial.

Mary Anne in Kentucky, expecting winds of up to 60 mph this afternoon--will I still have phone lines then?

df Bag Lady, sorry to learn about your computer issues.
That must be more than frustrating.

Mary Anne in Kentucky - it's nice to know I'm not alone! And I hope the high winds don't materialize. Or, if they do, that they don't do any damage. Y'all have been through enough down there, haven't you?

dfLeah - It was quite frustrating to not be able to get on the internet yesterday. And waiting for it to come to life this morning seemed to take forever. Sigh. Or perhaps I am just too impatient. That might be the three-year old in me.

I hope everything goes okay.

Aw that's too bad! So frustrating when computers act up. My computer only lets me see some videos... I can view yours but can't view MizFits. It's weird. Hope yours is better behaved soon :D

Tricia - thanks. It seems to have resolved itself now.

Sagan - I have my fingers crossed that everything is okay now. (it's really hard to type with your fingers crossed....!) :)

Just found your blog - love your sense of humor, and the writing in the third person.

You say you're an aspiring writer - check out the blog at www.data-depot.blogspot.com - looking for manuscripts.

On the computer note .. Hubby's got a big fancy thing he set up, being a computer geek, and now it's coming apart. Something about bad sectors. My $1,000 laptop seems to work just fine. Most of the time. Go figure.

Oh, bummer. Computer problems suck. I hope it all gets fixed soon!

I can relate! I'm glad the issue is resolved. It was hours before mine was up and running as well! I'm glad that I didn't decide that I should blow it up, or take it out and stomp on it to solve the problem!

Patience grasshopper!

I think computers bring out the three year old in us all. Glad you got it going.

sending well wishes to your computer ;)

Geo - I'll try that if it acts up again! :)

Marste - things seem better today.
Hope it keeps on behaving!

Redbush - a little bird told me that it was a large problem in the area yesterday..... :)

Reb - as you well know, it doesn't take much to bring out the 3-year old in me!

Annette - Thanks!

Miz - the computer problems seem to have resolved themselves, and I did have a fairly productive day. Didn't get everything done, but most of it! That's gotta count for something, right?

Around here, it's not my computer -- it's my hubby who is home for a week. It drives him crazy if he sees me on the computer. He's just sure that I could/should be doing something USEFUL.

Of course, he's right. But still! His attitude is keeping me from blogging as I wish to...

Wasn't that full moon fabulous? It was wonderful here in Arizona. Computers - damn them!

kcinnova - my hubby is much the same - hates computers. Sigh. We sat down one night and I showed him all the videos I've made for my blog - he was quite impressed, actually!

Poutalicious - computers are frustrating!
