This is the bottom of the Bag Lady's lawn (the little streaks in the picture are the snow that started to fall):

The Rancher went out this morning and measured the snow on the back of the Bag Lady's truck... almost 6 inches.
And the forecast is for more rain/snow to fall later today!
It has affected the power - the Rancher's sister lives about an hour north and her electricity went off yesterday afternoon around 4 pm, and still isn't restored.
It was very dry here and the moisture was badly needed, but sheesh, it didn't have to come all at once!
This is a long weekend in Canada, and traditionally the first weekend to go camping.... the Bag Lady is just as happy to hunker down at home, thankyouverymuch.

I have been laughing my ass off at some of your comments lately on my blog. Wanted to make sure you know that.
And I wish you the best warmth this weekend. We have a spot of sunshine here though lots of those big puffy white clouds that blow by fast in the wind. You can hear the wind in the branches of the trees. The sound is really great. I may have folks coming to look at the rental - would love to get it rented. But there are many properties for rent. I saw this morning on a street corner a woman that looked like you and I holding a sign saying she was homeless and needed money. With a bath, she could be a corporate exec.
Stay warm and dry. I'll stay HIGH and dry. (kidding about the HIGH).
I would love you to invade my space. Or camp in the yard. Whatever you want to do is fine by me.

I'm sweating in 90 F weather down here and wearing summer tops and sundresses. You snow pics leave me speechless.
BG - it was gorgeous here last week.... I'm not sure what the high temps. were, but approaching 80F!! That's how crazy the weather can be in Alberta.
(We'll be back to summer clothes in a couple days, according to the forecast.)

I feel your pain. I am working in Yellowstone Park maybe until the end of June. I woke up to snow this morning. It was brutal. It is now 4 p.m. and you look out the window and you would never know it had snowed. I have to get back to Ohio to see summer before it ends.
Your pictures are beautiful, and made me feel a bit cooler just looking at them.
Meanwhile, our A/C is out, and the temps are around 35C/92F.
I don't blame you for passing on the camping, though.

Judy - ours still has not melted off the lawn although the garden is black again.
Messymimi - oh dear - that's too hot! If we combined our weather, it might be just about right!
Mary Anne in Kentucky - I'm actually a big fan of indoor camping, too. The snow on top of the rain gauge melted and the gauge is now reading 4 inches. With a little warmth now, everything should grow well!

Ditto on the hunering down at home, Bag Lady! I'm saying "Holy Mama, that's enough already!" The moisture was much needed, but I'm just glad we still have our power. We take for granted all the things dependent on it. Lovely progressive shots! I'm glad my bedding plants are still cuddling down in the garage!
Oh and memory girl, here forgot all about the tomato plant hanging by her deck filled with cherry tomatoes. She forgot to take it in. She thinks that they still are o.k., but she is very lucky if they are! Duh!
Oops! Hope your tomato plant survived okay! We definitely needed the moisture, but I'm ready for some sunshine now.
WOW! We have had odd weather here - it's either 90 or 50 degrees. But I guess I can't complain....
Missicat - we've had some fairly extreme temps this spring, too! All the snow is gone now, though, and things are green again.
Wow...we missed the snow, but we still have the rain.
