The Bag Lady was going through some of her old pictures, wondering what she had been photographing around this time last year. These pictures were taken in the late afternoon when she was out and about with the Rancher.
She liked the light play on the trees and snow.
Happy Thanksgiving to all her American readers!

Contrary to the weather forecast, I'm looking at light play on trees and not on (forecasted) snow. I'm sitting by the fire in the living room stove drinking my after-breakfast coffee while the turkey is in the oven. I wish I could share my fire with you.

Those are very cool pictures! You were either lying on your back for that first one or those are really, really tall trees!!! I don't think you're that much further North than we are, actually...it was snowing when we left home, yesterday.
I just went and looked at posts on my blog from around this time last year and we had snow. Like, blanket of white all over the ground snow.
Currently feeling very thankful for above zero temperatures we've been having.
Love the pics. The last one is quite magical.
P.S.: [smug] In the two hours since sunrise, the sun, with only a little help from the fire, has raised the temperature almost ten degrees Fahrenheit. {/smug]
Warm! Thankful!

That looks beautiful...and cold! I love coming to your blog because you remind me to quit my whining. I mean, it's only 50F (9C) here!
ooh...I like the sun through the trees.
Makes me want to find a skidoo and hop on and ride out through the forest for a while.
If ony we had snow...:)
Mary Anne in Kentucky - I wish I could be sitting beside your stove, drinking coffee, too! Instead, I am on my way out the door to work.
But it promises to be sunny, and around 0C (which, is 32F)- as soon as the sun comes up here, it'll warm up a little - right now it's just barely below 0C.
Cheryl - thanks! Those are really tall trees - trust me, I was not lying on my back in the snow! :D
Oh, and I checked - our latitude is 10 degrees further North than yours. (Lake Mary, MN - right? - is at 45 and we are at 55)
JavaChick - we don't have a LOT of snow, but we do have some. Yesterday morning we had a nice coating of ice on everything, thanks to the freezing rain. The drive to work was..... interesting.
dfLeah - Thanks! I like that one, too.
BG - 50F? That's cold for where you are, isn't it? That's almost bikini weather up here! :)
Geo - still no snow there? Sheesh! I could probably send you some....
Quit throwing that S word around! It's a pleasant 8C right now but dropping through the day. Still, it's been an incredibly fine November this year. Lovely shots, Baggie. That last one is a beauty!
Beautiful pics! I love the last one - you really have an eye for catching just the right moment!
Those are all beautiful shots Sis. I like how the tips of the spruce look to be one fire in the first one.
Thanks, Hilary! We had a nice day here today... +4C. (Didn't melt the snow on the ground, though.)
Sigh.
Charlotte - thanks! Most of the time it's pure luck - no skill involved!
Thanks, sis! It was a gorgeous day that day, and everywhere I looked, I saw something pretty!
Those are beautiful. :D
Thanks, Marste!!
That last picture is especially lovely!
*wishing for snow here...*
