Beautiful Bounty

Betcha can't guess what the Bag Lady is making for supper!!!

This is all out of her garden: peas, spinach, purple bunching onions, garlic, red potatoes and rutabagas. Along with a nice home-grown beef roast.....

Doesn't that sound good?

Update:

Doesn't it look good, too? (even though it's a little blurry...sigh)

mmm....yummy! We had home grown beef when I was a kid and it is so much better than what we have now!

That is so true!

I just realized I forgot to put the carrots in the picture. Sigh.

Found you through Tink's Weekly Word Challenge - and came on over. I LOVE your bag, lady!
Where do you sell them?
I have been shafted before posting my email address in comments on other blogs (got spam *sigh*), so, if you would do me the favor of coming to my website and posting a comment - I will then have your email address and will respond - at which point, you will have mine.
And, stop lurking *smile* - your photos are great - you should play one week. It's fun!

Oh I am so hungry now. I'm making a potato salad with spuds from the in-laws, but it won't be the same.

I'll pick up a bottle of Shiraz on the way...

Chatty - thanks for stopping by! I sell my bags through my blog. Feel free to email me at the address in the sidebar.
I will leave a comment on your blog, too, just in case.

dfLeah - yeah, the entire meal will be homegrown tonight!

Hilary - better make that two bottles!! :)

Looks fantastic, Bag Lady!

Nothing compares to produce right from the garden. The taste is so much more sweet, crisp, and fresh than grocery-store produce.

You're going to have a healthy and delicious feast tonight! :)

Looks delish! I'll be right over!

Hilary, you better make that three bottles, looks like there might be a crowd! (good thing I cooked a big roast :))

Susan - You are so right! I love this time of year when things go straight from the garden to the table (with a brief stop on the stove or in the oven....)

BG - come on over, girl! Better bring your hubby, too. I'll go dig some more potatoes.....

Looks good, doesn't it, Tink? And it's such a wonderful feeling to know that everything on that plate was home-grown!

ohmgoodness that does look amazing!!! And I thought I was doing good just by using my own herbs : )

the Bag Lady said...

Emily - you are! For some reason, I've never had any success growing herbs... sigh.
