Another Saturday Report...

Well, the Bag Lady and the Cowboy spent another Friday night waiting for a cow to calve. She finally had her calf at 11:30 last night, with a little bit of an assist from the Cowboy. (This is the video the Bag Lady shot last night to show you how long our days are getting...turn up your sound, ignore the Bag Lady's pathetic commentary and listen to the frogs and loons!)

video

Named for the Bag Lady's neighbour to the east, who blogs over at The Supposed Golden Path . He is a fine little calf.

(The Bag Lady apologizes for the quality of her videos - she is still learning how to use her new camera!)

Presenting GEOSOMIN!

video

The temperature today is supposed to go to 31C (88F), which will seem quite hot after the cool spring we've had! The Bag Lady is hoping to get her vegetable garden planted today. She and the Cowboy rototilled it yesterday.

The garden turned out to be a little smaller this year because they both played out decided they didn't need quite so much produce!

If anything else exciting happens this weekend, the Bag Lady will let you know!

Geosomin seems quite comfortable in front of the camera.
Loved the frogs. Didn't catch any loon sounds, though. Must have another listen soon.

Aww so cute. These are such fun.. and I'm envious of the long daylight hours!

Geosomin wanted to know why your face looked funny, what was that thing in front of it? Why are you not on all four feet?

So cute! I am not that much further south, but it was much darker by that time here.

The sound on my computer isn't working so well. Sighs.

Now I'm in the mood to go for a romp in a forest!

dfLeah - he is another good little calf. There may not have been loons at exactly the time I taped that, but they were carrying on!

Hilary - the daylight will increase even more over the next month or so! It's what makes it worth living here!

Reb - I'm sure you're right - he was just as curious about me!

dfTerrie - Thanks! If you only knew how much footage I wasted...

Sagan - I'm sorry you couldn't hear it very well. You'll have to get that fixed!!

Mizfit - Ummmmm, of course right! Although I would like to see you run the rototiller with those fabulous arms of yours!
And I'm sure it would seem calming to you because there are so many billions of people where you live, and up here there are only billions of mosquitoes.......... :)

BL, thanks for dropping by and offering more well wishes for Tidbit. As long as you don't think it would jinx your calf to be named after a sick bunny, go ahead. :-)

BG - I'm pretty sure it won't jinx the calf, and maybe it'll help Tidbit get stronger!!

Geosomin - I'm glad you like your namesake! I figured you were probably away for the long weekend, but would see him when you got back. :)
