We are suffering a little lull in the calving business right now. Haven't had a calf since Sunday. The weather has turned cooler and damp.
Hopefully, the cows will hold off calving until the weather turns nice again. The Bag Lady needs to run errands today.
In the meantime, here is the latest calf to acquire a name. (so now all the existing calves have names - the rest of you will have to wait for more to be born!)
Introducing JOCELYN, named for the Bag Lady's cousin, Leah, who writes the entertaining and informative blog, The Goat's Lunchpail
Have a great day!

Cute lil' thang! It even looks like a good name choice. ;)
We need to get her some wild animal print glasses...
What a cutie! Well, not quite as cute as MY cow.
OK, they're both equally cute.
I want a cow.
they make my bullmastiff look too tiny.
df Bag Lady, what a wonderful calf. I'm honoured. Y'know, I think I even see a resemblance.
You sure grow 'em cute up there.
Those little things are so cute!
I realized yesterday our neighbor moved his cows again so we don't have mooing animals in our yard for me to take pictures of! I'm assuming they either A.) Were only in there temporarily so the farmer could work in their regular home or B.) The farmer was tired of our dog barking at them across the creek and causing them to migrate to one side of their field a couple of times a day. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Now I'll just have to enjoy your baby cow pictures even more.
P.S. Thanks for the link. I was so excited to see my namesake I forgot to mention it.
Awwwww....love baby animals. May have to go and check out some kittens...hmmm

Reb - thanks, I thought so, too.
Hilary - I'll pick some up next time I'm in town...
Crabby - yeah, they are all cute (and most of them are going to look a lot alike...)
Mizfit - your turn will come!
dfLeah - that calf is highly intelligent, so yeah, there is a resemblance! And you're welcome for the shout-out.
SB - thanks! I'll try to pick one that looks like Scrumpy Jack when your turn comes.
Emily - if we have a black one, it will be named for you. (There is a very, very slight chance we will have ONE black one.)
Hi, missicat - that's one thing that's missing around here now - the only cats we have left are males! No kittens. (not that we haven't had our share of kittens...old granny cat had at least 2 litters a year for 12 years...)
Cute - how many are left to calf?
Geosomin - we have 13 cows left to calve. Not a huge herd anymore.
What a sweetie! And I see that your photos are very much lacking in snow- hurray!
Yes, Sagan - the snow is mostly gone. Well, except for the little bits that are included in the rain that is falling now! Hopefully that is all it will be - little bits that won't accumulate.
Hmmmm...sounds like you need some lady cats sent your way! :-)
Missicat
That's okay, missicat, really! The cats have a way of just showing up...
Well, they are on their way, tiny passports clutched in their paws...
hehe
