Watchful

The Bag Lady had an audience the other day when she was feeding cows. Of course, as soon as the audience realized that they had an audience, they left.

Added another photo that will (hopefully!) enlarge. (But there's only one audience member left - the other was already gone.)

What the heck is it??? I need rudimentary wildlife identification skills. Hipsters, hookers, and drag queens are more the sort of wildlife I know how to spot.

Crabby cracked me up. :)

'yote? It's hard to tell. They're more likely to run than anything else that comes to mind.

Crabby - They are coyotes. Minus the roadrunner.

Hilary - it doesn't enlarge? WTHeck? I'll try to fix.

Leah - yes, coyotes.

You've got company when you do the feeding? I can't get the first one to enlarge, but, I can get the second.

So even in the country the neighbors can be nosy?

Nice pics.

Redbush - I'm guessing the first picture won't enlarge because I cropped it so the coyotes would show up better.

messymimi - and they can be darned noisy, too! Howling and carrying on all night long, some nights!! :)

There have been a lot of foxes around here lately.

I think the howling of the coyotes would spook me right out...

Geo - it spooks me sometimes, but drives my dog crazy! Last night, for example - they were very close (one on one side of the yard, one on the other) and the poor Princess didn't know which one to bark at first!

They are watching to see that you're doing your job properly, since they hope to profit by it come calving.
Today when I was ready to leave for work just before dawn they were yipping away. An unusual time to hear any coyote noise.
