The Bag Lady has the day off from her paying job.
She has big plans for getting started on her Christmas baking.
Of course, that means she has to get off of her ever-expanding a$$ sometime soon. *ahem*
And here, for it's entertainment value, is a picture she took at the end of her driveway the other day when she was on her way to work. Can you see what she saw?

Oh deer!
Lovely. :)
Good guess..... but it's not a deer. :)
Not sure, is that the Chris-Moose?
Have fun with the baking.
I see two critters sniffing each other. Can I be right?
Dinner! It is hard to tell when you can't see his head, but I'm thinking Leah is right...Moose, but that would mean your snow is really deep!
I baked brownies last night. Just for the smell, I swear. ;)
Is it a moose? I would have guessed deer too, but you already said it wasn't that . . .
Okay, so my eyes are really OLD because even though I increased the size of the photo, I still can't be sure what creature it is. Not a deer: maybe a moose: could be an elk? I'm with "Reb" - maybe its Dinner.
Lovely shot though - it's awesome you get to see nature when you leave your driveway.
It's Santa!
I see four legs, but without a head it's hard to identify. Reb's right, it's dinner.
Mary Anne in Kentucky
I wish I had a better picture to show you all, but I was in a hurry.
It's calf was also there - on the road in front of me - but took off as soon as I came out onto the road, so I didn't get a picture.
Many of you were correct. It was a moose.
This was fun! :)
leah makes me laugh :) and had you not enlightened us (see? enMOOSEened isnt as funny!!) Id have gone with deer as well.
VERY COOL PICTURE.
Cool! I'm still waiting for one to walk through our front yard again - and this time I will grab the camera instead of standing there in shock.
Tee hee...you said ass.
Diean't the snow really get you in teh mood for baking? It finally snowed here and I admit, not I'm really feeling festive. I want to bake up some things this weekend too before we tear our kitchen apart :)
Is it a cow or a moose?
Thanks, Miz! I wish I were half as clever a wordsmith as Leah!
JavaChick - that's how I am when I see coyotes - I really want to take a picture to post on my blog, but never seem to manage it. Sigh.
Geo - actually, I am in the mood for baking! Just didn't manage to get around to it yesterday. Tomorrow, though!
It's a moose. Really.
A moose! I'd pass out if I saw a moose at the end of my driveway---they're so BIG!
No moose in these parts, so I'm jealous of your sighting! We get mice, but no moose.
Well, I thought it was a deer but obviously it wasn't. That is so cool! (POD's funny...Santa, indeed!).
Sandie - we have moose around here quite frequently. One year, a mama and her calf decided our back yard was the perfect location for bedding down at night! The only problem I have with that is that the mama was quite protective about her nearly full-grown calf, so I had to be careful about checking to make sure she wasn't anywhere around when I went outside! They also used hubby's truck as a salt-lick occasionally!
Crabby - To be honest, I'd rather have moose than mice! I've had the occasional (destructive!) mouse in my house, but the moose generally stay outside!
Cheryl - I just wish I'd had more time to take a better picture!
(silly POD!)
So neat that you get to see moose!
Whatcha baking?
Sagan - nothing, yet. Sigh. Got bogged down with paperwork and month end stuff..... may not get around to baking for another day or two, dammit!
I missed the part where you didn't take the eleventyth job at the store. What happened there?
Cool moose. My guess was wolf. I stink at this.
Sparrow - that job has been put on hold for awhile until the owner gets his brand-spanking-new kitchen certified. Maybe in the new year.
