The Bag Lady hasn't got much to share with you today. It was cold and rainy at her house yesterday and she spent most of the day hunkered down.
She did go out and check cows first thing in the morning (like she always does) and took these pictures of part of the herd.
See those trees in the distant background? Her house is behind those trees. They don't look as far away as they actually are because of the slope of the (much greener!) land in between.
And here are a couple of pictures of one of the calves bravely checking out the Bag Lady's finger.
Right after she snapped this picture, he actually made contact with her finger and spooked and ran away!
Silly calf.

Cute silly calf, thanks for sharing.
uh thanks for that NOT.
Daughter TOTALLY wants to touch a cow nose now.
or so she is yelling at the screen anyway.
we're on our way up north to you---leave the light on.
Aww!!! You touched a cow nose! Great way to start a day!
That's some stern looking calf. It must have been concentrating hard on getting at your finger.
I can hear that calf thinking "Is there food there?"

Reb - he is cute, isn't he?
Miz - oops... sorry! Okay, I'll change the sheets in the bunkhouse!
Missicat - it is a wonderful way to start the day! (a little damp, mind you....)
dfLeah - he was a very cautious calf!
Mary Anne in Kentucky - true, true. His older "cousin" had been tasting my fingers, so he thought he'd better check them out, too!
Aww.. how come whenever you say that you don't really have much to share, you always do? The calf photos are adorable. :)
Cute calf :)
How many more to come?
Hilary - thanks! He was a very brave, very curious calf.
Geo - thanks. We still have about 8 or 9 left. The bull was in no hurry last year! Might have one later today, though.
Did you say, "smell mah fingah?"
POD - that's better than "pull my finger", isn't it? :)
