df Bag Lady,

I did know more than I thought, but must confess I would not have gotten number eight if I didn't follow Reb's blog.

Also, I know that Canada is bigger than the US but I had no idea it is bigger than China.

I never heard of Vimy Ridge and think it deserves a blog post of its own around Nov. 11th.

This was fun and educational. Thanks.

Terrie

This was well done Sis - and I got them all right! Yes, you should do some more.

Just fyi, I apparently had Vimy Ridge right and the importance was easy, but I wasn't sure about which world war (my guess was right, though!)

Just checking in here after a few weeks away.

I didn't take the quiz, but reading the answers makes me want to go back and take it. The only thing Canadian about our house is the hockey. Constant hockey, on the TV, in the backyard, on the kitchen floor. Oh, and now the NHL playoffs have begun.

Thanks for keeping up such a wonderful blog, BL. I always enjoy my visits.

Saskatoon is the capital of Canada silly :)

70%, not bad fer an Amurican.

I suspected Vimy Ridge was in France! Trick question. I think my answer was pretty good, if wrong.

dfLeah - I will come up with another one soon, I promise.

dfTerrie - I think you're right - I'll have to try to remember to do a post about Vimy Ridge for Remembrance Day!
Glad you enjoyed the quiz!

Reb - thanks! Glad you got them all correct (would have been surprised if you hadn't!)

Christine - I'm impressed! And I'm sure the confusion over which war isn't uncommon in you young'uns! :)

Conny - you have the best part of Canada going on in your kitchen! And I'm so glad you stop in for a visit occasionally - it's always good to "see" you!

Geo - shame on me.... sheesh. :)

Melissa - 70% is awesome! And if Vimy Ridge wasn't in France, it could very well be in Quebec...

Fun stuff, Baggie. This was a good idea for Canucks and Amurikans alike. Well done!

Three territories? Nunavit? I need you to do a whole post on that one! And considering I drive through a cute little town called Brunswick about once a week, you'd think I'd remember New Brunswick! And Newfoundland! (My uncle had a Newfie dog)
Vimy Ridge -- France... [smacks forehead]
Russia is still bigger than Canada, even since the USSR broke off into little countries of its own?

I'm actually proud of how well I did, since I'm *just* a US citizen! ;)

Thanks, BL, this was a lot of fun! :)

kcinnova - I was really pleased at how well you did with this - I can guarantee, the next one will be harder!! :)
My information might be a little out-of-date as far as whether Russia is still bigger than Canada, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt!
Thanks for playing!

I'm not as smart as I thought when it comes to my neighbors to the north. Thanks for making me just a little smarter.

I did better than I thought, but I *forgot* Manitoba! I was counting across the map in my head from left to right, knowing there should be something else in the middle....
One of my friends in school had a father from Montreal and a mother from London (England--WWII) and they spent summers in Quebec. I owe her for the fact that Canadian geography became "real" to me early on.

David - you're welcome! Hope you enjoyed my little quiz and will play again next time.
(You might wanna brush up a little - next one will be harder!:))

Mary Anne in Kentucky - if you only forgot one province, you're doing pretty well! I get all confused when I try to remember which (middle) state belongs where! And all those little states on the east coast? Gah!

you are officially never letting me VISIT let alone move there :)

I obviously need a guide book and PRONTO!

the Bag Lady said...

Miz - of course you are going to visit! As long as you can get yourself here, I will be your tour guide!! :)

You're bigger then the US??? WHAT? :-)
Should throw a quiz together for the USA...

the Bag Lady said...

Missicat - I know - surprising, isn't it?
I would love it if you threw a quiz together - as long as it wasn't too hard! :)

Just finishing up my USA quiz!!!
