The Bag Lady had a cranky day yesterday. Nothing went right. She was doing some sewing, and the fabric wasn't co-operating. Nor was her sewing machine. Sheesh.
Today, she might just go to work with the Rancher. He has to make a trip out west and will be close to the mountains, so she might get some good photographs. He was there yesterday and said the scenery was fabulous! He even volunteered to take the camera with him today (if the Bag Lady can't go) to take photos for the blog (who are you and what have you done with the Rancher?)!
She still hasn't managed to get the final photographs of the paint job at her mother-in-law's house.... maybe tomorrow.
The weather is supposed to be cooling off dramatically toward the weekend, and the Rancher and the Bag Lady have plans to go camping. Figures. Rain and cold. Here's hoping the forecast is wrong!
Good grief, no-one wants to hear how cranky the Bag Lady is!
Here's something to ponder instead:
"WE HAZ MOUSE....NOW WUT?"

That's just typical of a sewing machine to be bratty and mean to its Bag Lady! Please go escape and let the mountains cheer you up instead? Because that's what mountains like to do best of all.
TA x
I know TA---BAD BAD MACHINE.
and fo' sho' we ALWAYS WANNA HEAR YER BLATHER.
no matter the flavor.
from supersweet to whineywine.
we love you regardless.
Go take photos of the mountains, I know that would make me feel better!
Love that photo of the kittens.
I totally had something to say until I saw the picture of the kittens.
Now all that's running through my head is OMG KITTIES EEEEE!
Oh kittens! I want to get my kitty a brother or sister so bad!
He's getting kind cookoo with the lack of socializing all day!
If you can escape to the mountains, or anywhere for a bit, it'll do you a world of good.
Sorry to hear the sewing wasn't co-operating, but that just means yu need a break from it.
Nice touch with the kitty pic.
a trip to the mountains sounds so great!! I grew up in Colorado and miss the mountains.......now I live in the land of Oz..Little House on the Prairie :)
Hey, camping is more fun when it's cold.......think of the snuggling ;)
Kittens! Oh so cute! Love em!
When my boys were still in the kitten-y stage, they used to watch the monitor and try to chase the mouse cursor around the screen. It was funny.
TA - our trip has been delayed a little, but I'm pretty sure I'm going with him. I just hope the clouds disappear so the mountains are visible!
Miz - that sewing machine has been put in a time-out! Hopefully it'll learn not to f*ck with the Bag Lady! (do I sound tough, or what?)
Reb - my anxiety level is through the roof over all the things I need to get done, so yes, I think I might just take off and try to relax a little. Maybe the tension headache will go away.
Christine - aren't they just the cutest little things? They used to hide on the keyboard shelf all the time!
Sarah - yup, a brother or sister would be a good idea...unless they fight.
dfLeah - I do think I'll go, I just hope the clouds disappear.
new*me - I love the mountains, too. They make one feel so insignificant, and make your problems seem even less significant.
Javachick - those kittens were so darned cute peeking out from their hidey-hole. Fuzzy would be hard-pressed to fit in there now!
Kittens! AWWW!
A trip to the mountains would be perfect - go! I will write you a note!
Cute kittens.
Say hi to the mountains for me...hopefully the weather wil smarten up a bit...
Missicat - that totally cracked me up! Thanks! And thanks for the note!!!
Geo - I hope so, too. It's looking worse, though, and if it rains, we probably won't go.... *sob*
Fingers crossed for good weather for you!
Man, I haven't been camping in ages... I wonder if I still have it in me. :)
Cute kitties!
We all have those days. It's yoru blog and you can whine if you want to.
I hope the weather forecast turns out wrong, at least.
I know what you mean about fabric. I made my own mother-of-the-bride outfit in early February, and I was running out of time or I would have totally chucked the fabric. I chose it because it was the right color. (Satin, but I turned it over to the dull side.) But horrors, even though it wasn't exactly cheap (cheap stuff just won't sew right, in my experience), the fabric just wouldn't "do" right. And with lots of princess seams and tricking pattern adjusting, it came out kind of awful if you looked really close. I was p.o.ed. Fortunately there was a lot of wine flowing at the reception, and I was not exactly the center of attention, so I got away with it!
Oh cute kittens!
And I've been far whiney-er than you this week (although it's not a competition).
The weather's probably wrong.
You are quite the photographer! If I only had a tiny bit of your talent...very nice!
Thanks, all of you! The Bag Lady has been putting a lot of stress on herself lately...this, too, shall pass!
You made your very own lolz catz! Or Kittenz!
I've been too sick to whine (infected rash: from who knows what) or type so until my antibiotics work you can have my whine ration, Bag Lady.
Mary Anne in Kentucky
Oh, no, Mary Anne! Hope you're on the mend! (Was wondering where you were...)
Hil - I did my best....haha
