Oddly enough, from where the Bag Lady was standing, the sky to the south was a different colour:
Once down in the river valley, the clouds took on yet a slightly different hue:
The hoar frost on the trees was not nearly as prominent when we reached town, so we attributed it to the fact that the little ski hill on the river bank was in the process of making snow.
This morning, the Bag Lady had some visitors checking out her bird-feeders:
And last, but definitely not least (at least, not in HIS mind), here is a picture of the youngest member of the Bag Lady's family, enjoying Christmas morning:

Aww nice photos and a new look too! How do you get your own photos to load on quickly your dial up?
Love the winterscapes.
I'm way too old and scared to play around with my blog background. Looks great. Good for you.
The Bag Lady had to change the colour of her background to display these photos because they didn't show up very well on the other...she may change back again later...or find something else. (It's easy, Leah, and you can always change back if you don't like it!)
Hilary, who said these loaded quickly?! Takes about 5 to 7 minutes per picture, on a good day. That's why the Bag Lady usually does the smaller size photos - she's far too impatient to wait much longer than that!
Wow, those are some beautiful pictures! And a sweet kitty, too!
Thanks, Bunnygirl! A far cry from what you're accustomed to, probably.
As one who is grateful she lives in the Southern US, I say, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ! ! !
The one time I ventured up to northern Wisconsin it snowed on May 11. May 11!!! That's all kinds of wrong, y'all.
Meanwhile, the photos are gorgeous. Well done! And your critter pic reminds me, I left something for you in my blog.
VL - the cold isn't so bad once you get accustomed to it (or at least, that's what I've been told, but I've lived here all my life and I'm still waiting...)
Thanks so much for the award! I'll be strutting around all day!
Ooh, Good photos Sis! Love the visitors in the yard! I really like the new background too.
Thanks, Reb. You were leaving your comment at the same time as I was putting up my next post...
