Wednesday

It is Wednesday, isn't it?

The Bag Lady is a little confused this morning because, although her computer says it is Wednesday, the weather thingy says Tuesday, and facebook has also regressed to yesterday morning.....

Tommy, on the other hand, doesn't care what day it is, as long as you share whatever it is you are eating! He is 14 years old, and for the first 12 or 13 years, ate nothing but dry cat food (and the occasional mouse....) but has become increasingly interested in whatever it is the humans are eating.
Yesterday, he would not rest until the Rancher shared his cake with him..... understandable, when one considers it was a bunny cake.

(which, sadly, looked more like a cat than a bunny, due to it's shrunken ears..... sigh)

Tommy probably realized he'd been cheated out of your good cooking all these years and is making up for it now.

You could be right, cousin!

We make bunny cake just like that! I can't claim expertise on the ears, my husband makes those.

I have to keep Cleopatra away from my morning oatmeal. She might just be sniffing, but I don't want to take any chances. Tommy is a lucky boy!

kcinnova - might have to borrow your hubby's expertise next year... you're lucky to have a good ear man!

3 cheers for bunny cake!

Our critters have become increasingly moochey over the years too :)

That's a cute bunny cake even though the ears are kinda short. Tommy probably thought it was a cat and that's why he wanted some. He seems to be a very perceptive cat.

I need a bunny cake! We used to make them growing up. Fortunately BadCat and BadKitten spurn human food so I don't have to deal with pawprints in my eggs!

You are so festive ! I love it! I need to get on board and actually decorate something - my kids love that kind of thing! They would go nuts for your bunny cake.

My Sweetie makes a bad habit of feeding the cats "treats" from the table, so I have a house full of beggars.

I agree it was about time he developed a taste for your cooking.

I thought all cats knew the humans keep the good stuff for themselves. If he's only now discovering that in his old age, it sounds like reverse senility.

So what you're really saying is that Tommy has cannibalistic tendencies. ;)

I like how you decorated your table like a striped Easter egg. Creative you!

Tehehe that is such a cute cake! I like the Easter colours on your table, too.

Cats are so funny.

Tommy is such a neat guy! I can just hear him purring, especially after the piece of bunny cake! Maybe he's realizing that real liver, or steak is much better than the kibble you're feeding him. Good for Tommy! Cute cake, too!

mmmmm, bunny cake . . . Well, actually, "mmmmm, ANY cake." But that one was especially cute. :)

Love the cake, even with the shrunken ears!

My Frank is like that - always has to check out what I'm eating. If he happens to really like what I'm eating, then he seems to think he is entitled to share my dinner...possibly because I am a pushover and I let him...

Tommy has a lot of character.

I'm sure there is a breed of rabbit out there with short ears. If not - there should be.

Umm - I see I've returned just in time for calf season. Gorgeous!

Dawn! How wonderful to see you again!

Yes, we have three calves now - I'll post a picture of the newest baby soon!

Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments - I am terrifically busy right now, but hope to update you soon on all the goings-on around here!
