The Bag Lady isn't going to whine anymore about the poor turnout at the craft sale on the weekend. She will only say that if all of the people who showed up had been there at the same time, it still would not have been crowded! ~~sigh~~ Don't know if it was a sign of the slowing of the economy, or simply that there were too many other events going on around town, or the sale wasn't well enough advertised, or people were afraid of road conditions....... perhaps a combination of all of that.
Oh well.
The Bag Lady must now turn her attention to something more productive. Like housework. She needs to do some serious deep-cleaning and perhaps even some painting and spiffing-up of her home. She bought a new cleaner (remember her whining about not being able to find her favourite cleaner anymore?) and she is quite enamoured of it! It has a light scent (she's all about having a little clean smell lingering to remind her that she actually did do some cleaning....but hates the pine smell that they used to put in everything!) She's not trying to do a product endorsement here, but has anyone else tried the "Mr Clean with Febreze"? It's nice.
Of course, for some cleaning projects, she still prefers using a little vinegar in water, but to be honest, Mr Clean with Febreze smells better!
The Bag Lady has a little bit of an obsession with cleaners
Listen up, scJohnson - Fantastik really WAS fantastic - what did you do to it?
Okay, I'm stopping now - it's time to take my meds......

Sorry to hear the sale wasn't so great. Are there more coming up?
I totally second your cleaning fantasy.
Don't know of any more sales coming up in the near future.
Guess I'll have to earn my keep some other way!
I should clean.
Im not going to take this post as a sign.
Miz.
Miz - if the phone would quit ringing, and I could ignore the computer's siren call, I'd probably have more than just the bathroom floor washed by now......
Oh sure...remind me I have a bit more cleaning to do to finish operation clean sweep!
Sorry your sale didn't have as many people...
Too bad about the turn out for the sale. Maybe it is the economy, but because AB hasn't felt the crunch as much, they are still shopping retail?
I know what you mean about cleaning. Mines not going so well. but on the other hand, I have a couple of my other projects well in hand.
Geo - sounds as though you are far ahead of where I am.....I still haven't gotten more than half the tiny bathroom floor done. ~~sigh~~
Reb - glad to hear you are accomplishing something - I'm just puttering along.
Don't know why there was such a poor turn-out. Guess people just don't come out to things like that as much as they used to.
Poor turnout: Thursday night I went to the Chamber of Commerce supper--which is usually a lunch--and it was amazingly poorly attended, which we decided, as we sat around waiting for enough people to show up to start, was because within half a mile at the same time there were TWO other meetings about important town and county issues. Bag Lady, I'm sure the school superintendent who missed the beginning of his daughter's birthday party to speak to a crowd of seven (if I counted right) plus the Chamber officers, would sympathize with you! For the rest of us, the consolation lay in not feeling greedy for taking enormous second helpings of really wonderful food.

I think no one likes coming out until they've acclimated. The cleaning never stops around here; I shudder to think what would happen if it did! My favorite cleaner is clorox with lemon. Don't like pine either. Figure I'll be getting a face full of pine soon enough!!
I also have a thing for cleaners, but using them is a different story! Oh and notebooks, paper etc. I love stapes :-)
I don't give cleaners much thought beyond whether or not they do the job. As for your crafts, do you have an etsy shop? That might be a nice way to bring in a little pin money between craft fairs.
Am sorry the craft sale didn't go so well! That's a bummer.
Vinegar in water is the best cleaning product ever. Add some baby oil to that and its perfect! I adore baking soda too. Works like a charm. But Febreeze does smell super good.
Y'all know I usually try to answer every comment individually, but I just can't right now - too sick!
Thanks all of you for commenting - welcome, Spunkysuzi - I feel the same way about note-paper and office supplies!
I always use The Clean Team products!! I last bought my cleaner concentrate so many years ago that I can't remember how many. And I still have some. It doesn't smell, but you could always spray cologne.
The Clean Team rules! I learned how to clean house from them. And de-clutter, and a lot of other handy things.
I totally agree about wanting the cleaning products to do the cleaning FOR you! Have you seen the Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner?!? I have been wanting to try it (hello, never have to scrub the tub/tile again, where do I sign up??) However it was quite more expensive than the regular can of Scrubbing Bubbles *sign* I just couldn't see forking over the money to avoid doing the work myself : )
Ahh feel better Baggie. I don't like the fake pine scents either and Bunny girl has to be at least the 2nd one to suggest Etsy to you. :P :)
PineSol gives me a headache. I do like Febreeze so I'll have to check out your new favorite cleaner!
Now if the little cleaning fairies would bless me with a regularly scheduled visit....
You have some wonderful crafts. I'm hearing a chant.... wait, there it is again... "ETSY! ETSY! ETSY!"
