The Bag Lady dug her potatoes, onions and carrots yesterday.
She didn't plant as many as she has in the past, but this year they made up in size what they lacked in volume! (This is her size 7 gardening shoe....)
Some of the carrots are awfully large, too. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get an accurate photo.
She also did a little preparation for some crafts she has in mind. She has a table booked for an upcoming craft sale at the beginning of November, and needs to make some items to go along with her CartSmart Bags.
She may have to ease up on her blogging a little over the next couple of weeks in order to produce enough crafts to make having a table worthwhile.

Good-looking spuds and that's one hell of a carrot you've got there.
That is a huge carrot! My mom makes a great carrot casserole every Thanksgiving. I was just thinking about it this weekend. :)
Wow those are some monster carrots.
Wow! So that's what a real carrot should look like...

Those are HUGE! Mmm, I could munch on those all day.
Pictures of your crafts while you're busy making them?
BG - I love root veggies, too! The only thing left in the garden is rutabagas, and they can stay there for awhile longer.
TA - Aren't they huge? And thanks, I'll probably need all the cheering on I can get with the crafting!
Miz - And Texans think they grow things big down there!? Bwuhahaha
dfLeah - I was a little surprised at the size of the carrots, myself!
SB - I'm thinking you could make a casserole with just that one carrot!

Missicat - dreams of spuds dancing in your head?
Sagan - I will try to post some photos of the crafts - provided they turn out, that is!
I do not want to meet that carrot in a dark alley.
Yes, I will be planting potatoes along with everything else this spring when we've FINALLY moved.
Mary Anne in Kentucky
Oooh, Mary Anne, you must be so excited to be moving! I'm thinking you're going to have to start a blog so we can experience it right along with you...
df Bag Lady,
Those veggies look great.
Much luck on making the crafts for the craft fair.
Terrie
Awesome veggies! Will miss you but I TOTALLY get it. When it's life vs. blog, Life should win!

Patricia - thanks for your good wishes, and for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
Most impressed!
What variety of potato is that? It looks like a red or purple skinned variety but that might just be the image.
You know you have impressive veggies when we all ooooh and ahhhh over them as if they were.. well Crabby's cupcakes or one of your many yummy recipes. They do look terrific and no doubt so will your crafts. What will you be making besides the bags?
Dawn - they are Red Norland potatoes - they seem to grow very well in our soil.
Hilary - I am going to attempt to make some willow wreaths, and perhaps a few other things. If anything works out well, I'll post photos!
Hello cuz! Love the potatoes and carrots! We had our very own garden as well but our carrots didn't grow as well as last year. But our potatoes grew great as well.
Anyways, also wanted to tell you that I love your site and will be back often! :)
Hey, cuz! Great to see you here - looking forward to seeing you again!
Lol!! That is a gigantic carrot!
