She loves her site meter, too. Especially when she sees people looking at her blog from all around the world. She can identify most of her regular commenters' addresses, and is curious about the readers who appear on a fairly regular basis but don't leave a comment. She loves to see new places appear, and some of the names of the cities are intriguing.
Some of the hits on her blog appear there as the result of searches, as I'm sure most of you know. Her most common search hits are people looking for weird houses, or tractors for dummies! If she were a trifle less conservative with her language, she would probably get more hits, but she's really not interested in having a bunch of people looking at her blog when they are looking for porn sites, thankyouverymuch!
The Bag Lady has the coolest mother-in-law anyone could ask for! She is almost 80 years old (and now she's gonna kill the Bag Lady, so this will be her 200th and final post!) and decided a few years ago to get a computer. She called the Bag Lady yesterday morning and without preamble asked her which greenhouse she went to for her tomato plants. Then she laughed and confessed to reading the blog right before she called. She said she reads it almost every day to find out what's happening. She even uses one of the calf photos as her screensaver - how cool is that?! She's an amazing woman, and has patiently taught the Bag Lady an enormous amount about living in the country.
This has been sort of a "rambling all over the place" post, and the Bag Lady will leave you with a photo of this:
She saw it on one of her rambles. Can you guess what that is?
Happy Friday the 13th!! The Bag Lady had a Friday the 13th kind of week, so she's hoping the actual day will be a good one....

Congratulations on 200 posts.
Is that a dew-covered spider's web?
Woohoo for 200. Geesh, Baggie.. you talk a lot! ;)
I was thinking a tent caterpillar nest.
Thanks, both of you. I'm not telling yet.....
df BagLady,
200 posts!! What an achievement! I look forward to the next 200!
As to the picture--I have no idea. Helllllooooo City Girl here. I rely on you to keep me informed about this sort of thing and I am sure you'll tell us sooner or later.
Just want to mention that I'll be scarce around the blogospherre (but not entirely gone) as I leave for Florida in the morning to babysit for two of my grandkids for ten days while their parents take a vacation. I only mention it because I know how much you worry. :)
Terrie
AHHH! Is that a spider web??? I hate spiders!!! :-0 *shudder* I don't know what it is, probably all the legs and they way they skitter around so fast.
200??? WOW!
Happy 200th Post! :-)
dfTerrie - Yes, I do worry, so thanks for letting me know! Check back later today to find out what that is in the photo! :) And have fun with the grandkids!!
Missicat - not a spider web - I feel the same way about spiders. **shiver**
BG - thanks!
Please let it have nothing to do with spiders. *Shudder* I'm going to say caterpillars too. Although if I squint it looks like some of that bubble wrap bundled into a ball. Hehe.
Happy 200th!!!
up in herre Id surmise it was either excess bubble solution or (sigh) my Toddlers saliva.
KUDOS on the 200!
M.
Cow spit eh? Ok... please just promise you won't post any photos of what DOES make it through its body?
Hmmm what happened to your comment admitting it was cow spit?
I can hear the theme from the Twilight Zone in my head.. again...
Congrats on 200 posts Sis! I think it is ironic that you started after me and have been so much more prolific!
I think it is great that your MIL reads your blog, she should start one of her one! I'll bet she has lots of interesting tales to tell.
I have no idea what that is...too much laundry soap coming up from your septic tank? Kidding.
Tink - no, not spiders *shudder*
Bubble wrap is closer! :)
SB - Thanks!
Mizfit - Wins!! It's what I call "milk froth" - when a calf is sucking hard and fast, the saliva foams and bubbles out of it's mouth...
Sorry, Hilary - just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention!! Hehehe
Thanks Reb - funny, isn't it, 'cause in "real life" you talk more than me!! Hahahahahahahaha Kidding.
200 posts! Nice.
Milk froth? It looks kind of cool in a weird sort of way:)
BL - I thought you'd enjoy this post. Just be warned, you'll need some kleenex.

I think it looks like bubbles!
Congratulations on 200!
Is it a spider web?
200 - wohoo!
That isn't a spider thingamajig is it? Err...it's not going to have a spider photo in it someimte soon is it? Cuz I'l make little squeaky sounds and run away and hide behind the cows...don't make me embarass myself :)
Spittle Bug? Congrats on 200 posts!
Sagan - I thought it looked kinda cool - it was out in the middle of the pasture, no cows close by, shining in the early morning sun!
SB - Thanks - I'll check it out!
Baglady - you really confused me for a minute there!! (I couldn't remember saying that... :)) Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Mama Zen - calf spit. Milk bubbles... okay, collective "EEEUUUWWW - gross!"
Geosomin - no need to hide behind the cows. Well, unless you really want to....
Mark - Thanks! Sorry, not spittle bug, just spittle.... :)
spittle :)
dang we have a lot of that right now.
TT is fascinated by her mouth.
and by shoving stuff up her nose.
good times.
M.
Mizfit - yup, spittle. Milk bubbles.
Kids will be kids! Was it a Bill Cosby piece about "Everything...up his nose!!"? Hilarious.
Wow, 200! That's great! I love site meters, I get lots of hits from people searching for the world's ugliest sweater. Alas, I had no pictures to show them (not because I didn't own said sweater, but because it has long since gone to Goodwill)!
200 posts - that's outstanding! Congratulations! :)
The only things that popped into my mind when I saw that picture was either a spider web, cotton, or bubbles!
...Oh, wait... I just read the other posts so now I know. ...Eww ;)
Ummm, I'm one of your "blog lurkers." I found you from MizFit (because your comments were so funny) and got a little addicted.
But in honor of your 200th post, I'm de-lurking! :)
Gena - you had the world's ugliest sweater?! Dang, wish I'd seen it, 'cause it probably would have gone along with the world's ugliest vest that I crocheted!!!!
Susan - thanks! I know, I know, eeeuuww - but it looked really pretty, shining in the sun!
Heather - welcome!!! I'm honoured that you have decided to de-lurk - it's great to have you here! (just wish I hadn't had quite so much beer last night - perhaps I'd be able to think of something witty! As it is, I'm lucky to be sitting upright!!)
happy happy 200th my new friend!!
xoxoxo super hugs xoxoxo
I had a Friday the 13th kind of week, too . . . *sigh*. I guess those weeks help us appreciate the opposite kind of week, right?!
Happy 200th post - somehow I just managed to hit 100, but didn't realize it. How time flies!
Thanks, Fitarella - gotta love all the new friends we find with this blogging!!
Brianna - Thankfully I don't have all that many weeks like this last one!! Hope we're both over the 13th thing now!!
An un-needed nest?
Congrats on your 200th, BL!
About your sitemeter: Many, even most, people come to blogs to read and look and listen, not necessarily to contribute due to shyness, time constraints, whatever. Although you've got some great enthusiastic commenters, on the busiest blogs there are, lurkers make up the vast majority of visitors. But if they're coming back, they're enjoying The Blather (tm), and someday may feel compelled to chime in.
Thanks, Clare - I have a tendency to lurk, too, on some sites. I read, but don't always feel qualified to comment (I find that with WoM a lot!!:)) I'm just interested in hearing from everyone who reads - even if they just pop in to say "hi"!
Congrats on 200 post! Woohoo! Before looking at any of the comments I'm gonna guess first what that web is... Hmmm Caterpiller?
Thanks, Maggie! No, it's calf spit. Gross, eh? Milk bubbles from sucking his mama. Sorry... it just looked interesting, sitting out there all alone in the pasture, no cows or calves even close.
Sorry I was out of town and missed your 200th!
We all knew you had it in ya'. Looking forward to the next 200.
Thanks, Crabby!! If it hadn't been for you and a few others....well, the rest of the blog world knows who to blame!!! :)
Good to have you back - hope you enjoyed your trip!
