Yard Guard

Here is a little video for your amusement.

(Trust the Bag Lady when she says the squirrel was in more danger from the cat seen at the end of the video than he ever was from the dog!!)

  1. What great timing! Too funny. It seems to be a day for cat and dog videos. ;)

  7. Poor cat. Dogs have no self-control, she sniffs.

  8. Hilary - your video of Benny and Skittle was great! Very funny.

Reb - poor kitty was rather dismayed, as you can imagine!

TA - Princess is definitely a squirrel-chaser. Not a successful squirrel-chaser, but you have to give her points for trying!

Miz - I'm glad the Tornado liked it!

Missicat - the Princess will sit under a tree for hours on end while the squirrels chatter and tease! She's tenacious, at least.

dfLeah - that squirrel is definitely bold, and occasionally quite cocky! But quick, very quick!

  9. Mary Anne - so true! Kitty was very patient, waiting for the exact opportunity to pounce on his squirrel treat, when that darned dog foiled it AGAIN!!

  10. Hehe yep dogs just bark and chase things; cats actually know what they're doing:)

  11. Sagan - Princess must be part cat, then, because she certainly knows how to get what she wants around here!!! She is definitely the Boss.

  13. LOL, but does your dog come back after chasing a squirrel? I would have to go after Mojo if he ran off like that : )

  16. Too funny!

Our cat fantasizes about squirrels when they're high in the trees, but is not nearly so adventurous when they're within range.

  17. Tricia - thanks! They think so, too :)
Emily - I get more concerned when it's a coyote that she chases. The coyotes are sneaky little buggers - one will lure the dog, whilst another sneaks around and attacks from the rear.

    Annette - Thanks!

Dawn - it's a good thing there are critters for her to chase, because if her exercise was totally dependent on me, she'd be in trouble! :)

Crabby - I'm ashamed to admit that my cats are quite adventuresome. Mice, birds, squirrels. One of them even proudly brought home a recently deceased weasel. I'm not saying the cat had anything to do with the weasel's demise......
