  1. You did such a good job of learning that sax for that. It is still funny as hell!

  10. Reb - thanks, sis! Rehearsals for that show were a disaster - we kept cracking up!

Miz - isn't weirdness why you keep coming back here? :)

TA - yup, that's me. A few years ago. The show was called "A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine" and it was a hoot!

Hilary - when umm, late '80's, what musical theatre,
    why to make people laugh(?),
where a little city in northwestern Alberta :) (I learned to play that song on the sax strictly for the part I was playing - I know it's hard to tell, but I'm not a sax player! Hahahahaha)

dfLeah - hey, you got to see it live, and it was much better in person, right?

Missicat - part of my mis-spent youth was spent on stage doing musical theatre. Just wanted to share a little bit of that with you. Unfortunately, this is a copy of a copy, and even the original is not great.

Melissa - thanks! That's the funny part, isn't it?

Sagan - glad you liked it! I thought everyone would appreciate a laugh!

Geo - just wanted to amuse everyone!

  11. df Bag Lady,

    Your creativity knows no bounds!
I am most impressed that you learned to play the sax for the role. If I had to learn the sax, I would still be practicing the scale all these many years later.

    Kudos!

  12. dfTerrie - actually, it was basically play by numbers.... I learned only that song, and learned it by the sequence of keys to push. Sad but true story - opening night, I was so nervous, I had my fingers on the wrong keys and blew a great big "HONK" -- fortunately, the audience was great, laughed like crazy, I moved my fingers to the right keys and played it right through.
From then on, I made sure I had my fingers on the right keys BEFORE I stepped out on stage!
