Saucy

The Bag Lady took this picture quite some time ago, thinking she would blog about making salsa with completely home-grown ingredients.... and then promptly forgot to post it. She also forgot to take any more pictures, although she DID remember to actually make the salsa.

She has one last bowl full of tomatoes that are finally ripe, but there aren't enough of them to make a large enough batch of salsa to can, so she will probably just cook them up and make spaghetti sauce. A few tomatoes, some onions, garlic and ground beef will make a tasty sauce, don't you think?

  3. Yum.. fresh veggies. I bet your salsa is delicious. Especially since I seem to recall that you leave out that evil herb cilantro.

  4. Mmm. Sounds delish.

I've been loving the fresh veggies lately. Wish I had a garden of my own instead of sponging off of friends and relatives :)

  16. Your harvest looks brimming full of country goodness. Probably just as well you forgot to blog about it because by the sounds of it, we would have descended upon you like a ravishing horde.

  17. Fresh tomatoes make the best sauce or salsa. :)

I used the last of my tomatoes a couple of weekends ago to make a small batch of salsa. My garden did pretty well this year, but tomato season still went by too fast.
