Moody Tuesday

Here are some "mood" pictures for your viewing pleasure! (Please click on any of them to enlarge)

And this is the little calf that came into the world backwards! She is doing very well.

And finally; here are some ducks, barely visible in the straw.

  5. Nice photos BagLady. Did you get any snow last night?

  6. Love them all, but the cow/shadows around the tree is my favorite.

  7. Crazylady - anytime!!

Rupal - blog camp sounds like fun! Bring a sleeping bag and you can sleep out under the stars. Or the snow banks, if this weather never smartens up!

Miz - thanks. I really should print some of them, or at least back them up onto a disc.

Marianne - it should be remote enough.... :)

Tom - it is snowing like mad (and the wind is blowing, too) as I type. Sigh.

Mary Anne in Kentucky - Thanks - I really liked that one, too. :)

  8. My fave is the momma cow with the baby cow:) (Or the big cow with teh little cow - I'm not good at the whole boy/girl thing with livestock.)

  9. Charlotte - you were right - momma and baby. I really like that one, too - the misty ones are my personal favourites!

  10. Very very nice! Makes me want to run away to the country.
Wish I had my camera on Sunday during my morning run - saw two geese (mama and papa I assume) swimming with their five little goslings! too cute...

  11. Those are wonderful. I love the Bovines in the Mist.

  12. Missicat - I never seem to have my camera when I see really cool, unusual stuff.... or, if I actually have it with me, can never get it turned on in time to actually capture the cool stuff. I've been trying for weeks now to take a picture of the Pileated Woodpecker hanging around here.

dfLeah - Thanks! Bovines in the Mist... think that would make a good movie title? :)

  14. BG - Thanks! I was actually thinking about you yesterday, and lamenting the fact that I didn't go out with the Rancher last night to check cows. He was gone a really long time, and when he came back with twigs in his hair, I asked him what the heck he'd been doing.
He was following a rabbit through the bush.
Made me laugh.... glad he didn't fall down any holes.

  15. Happy after Victoria Day. I stopped by but you were so busy celebrating, I didn't leave a comment. ;-) (Whatever that means).

Those pictures are great. I love cows.
    Moo.

I like Miz's comment. Miz took these. (Now I know for sure she's not really running this morning).

  16. POD - Miz runs really fast - she blew through here, snapped a couple photos and blew out again.... just like greased lightning! :)

  17. I love the one with the tree in the centre of it. Shadow cows....

  18. Geo - Thanks, I rather like that one, too.

  19. That first pic blows me away. The sun is so low that the shadows and barely visible - just long, low, and faint. (It also gives me the chills with that glittery ground.)
Time for another photo contest, I'd say!

Oooh, Rupal has a great idea - a ranch week at Bag Lady's place!
Can we do it in warmer weather?

  20. kcinnova - at the rate we're going, I'm not sure we're EVER going to have warmer weather! Sheesh.

Late June would be the best time for blogger-camp.... the long evenings and short nights just cry out for partying all night long!!! :)

  30. For some reason all I could think of this morning when I looked at the picture of the geese hiding in the field is the Monty Python sketch about how to not be seen...made me smile :)
