Here are some pictures from the Bag Lady's flower garden (please ignore the weeds....)
Lilies with some Mallows visible behind them:
Blue and Pink Delphiniums:
The Bag Lady's flower garden is not up to standard this year. It was too dry and cold early in the season, and the Bag Lady has been terribly lazy about weeding....

So pretty!
Isn't weeding just the biggest pain in the butt ever ?!?! well maybe after trying to lose weight :)
*whew*
thank goodness here we have NO STANDARDS (and lots of weeds).
Gorgeous. And since I wouldn't know a weed if it walked up and introduced itself, I didn't mind them one bit.
Very pretty. I grow a lovely garden of weeds myself.
Love your lilies!
I think it has been a bad gardening year all around. We've been getting tons of rain but very little sun. Sad. :(
Very pretty. Those delphiniums look like they're guarding the place.
The delphinium looks HUGE...
We have vines in our yard and so we tend to ignore the weeds..until the vines lose their leaves in the fall...and then we have a weed farm. I just don't have the time to weed as I should...I'm glad our neighbors are very patient.
They're so vibrant!
I kinda like weeding. There's something satisfying about yanking them out of the ground.
Beautiful!
And weeds? I didn't see any weeds!
Crazylady - thanks! I despise weeding. And trying to lose weight. (which is probably why I'm the plump lady with the weedy garden!)
Miz - my standards have been slipping of late... at least, as far as the weeds go!
Messymimi - thanks! And I have so many weeds around here, they just might start walking up and introducing themselves to people!
Hilary - I'm sure your yard looks wonderful!
Javachick - it's been pretty much the opposite here - it was dry and cold for much of June, then we had about 5 inches of rain, and it's been hot and dry ever since!
Not a good gardening year.
dfLeah - they do, rather, don't they? Almost like you have to get past them to get to that door! :)
Geo - it's the angle of the photograph - they aren't anywhere near as tall as they usually are.
I have a vine like that, too! It's starting to take over the steps.
Sagan - there is something satisfying about yanking those damned weeds out, isn't there? (It's just that there are so darned many to yank around here!)
Crabby - strategic photography! Really... the foxtail and other grasses, along with the weeds that were included in the birdseed last winter have almost taken over half of the garden. Sigh.
Your flowers are gorgeous.
And congratulations! You've won a copy of Faces by Martina Cole at the Women of Mystery raffle. I was very happy your entry was plucked from the salad bowl. Would you send your address to me at lois.karlin [at] womenofmystery.net I need it to send to the publisher, who in turn will mail your copy. Again, congratulations! - Lois
Wow, you're on a winning streak lately.
I never win anything *pout*
Although I think you have to enter to actually win, right?
Your flowers look amazing. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.
Lois - thanks for the compliment, and THANKS for the prize!! I'm tickled pink! :)
Lil Nana - I'm actually amazed - I rarely win anything, either, and twice in one week?? Way cool! :)
Well, it certainly looks amazing to me.
The Baglady has been busy blogging. Lovely flowers!
Scrumpy - thanks! Strategic photography. :)
POD - the blogging does tend to interfere with the weeding, especially on really hot days! It's so nice and cool in the house....
Love your lilies Sis and the delphiniums are beautiful...are we supposed to pull weeds?
Reb - only if they are in the way of a good photo!! :)
Absolutely lovely! Ahhhh, don't diss the weeds. It's the only thing I can grow. Hehe
Aleta - thanks! I seem to have a really green thumb when it comes to weeds, too! :)
