Here's a little video the Bag Lady made at the request of some of her blog-buddies. She tried to keep it short in order not to bore you all to tears!
She had to cut quite a lot of her journey out of the video (it's not easy to condense a 4 hour trip into a 2.5 minute video.....!) She left out the parts with the horse and buggy, and the wild Indian attack (sorry, that's probably not politically correct. Get over it - it was a joke!)

See, this is why I can sit in a bus for 16 hours and not go completely insane.
Because the 3-4 hour round trip to Winnipeg every month taught me well from an early age.

bravo Bag Lady!!! It was exciting to see exactly what "going to town" means for you. You must be a good driver to be able to video type while you're driving, I'd be swerving all over the road if I tried that : )
Wanh! It stuck at 2:22 and wouldn't load anymore for me. But at least I got to see you get back on the gravel.

Emily - there were a few times when I taped the sky, and the dashboard, etc. - those ended up on the cutting room floor!!

TA - it is 28 km from home to the outskirts of town. Takes about 20 minutes, depending on the road and the weather. Around here, it can rain at the neighbour's place half a mile down the road, but not at our place! Happens all the time.
I'll be on the lookout for a moose or two for you next time!
Baglady, jimson weed is certainly poisonous to humans. Garden books warn about it all the time. I don't know if it's an old farmer's tale that it poisons cows and horses, too--we're all mammals but we have different stomachs--but everybody I know works hard to keep it out of their fields.
28 km, huh. When we finally get to move, we'll be (quick conversion) 16 km from town, instead of one. But "town" is nowhere near big enough to have a Walmart. We have to go to the next county for that.

we had to condense 40 years of history into one 5 minute slideshow for history class lasst year.
i, who enjoy making elaborate powerpoint presentations, ended up having a 10 minute presentation.
i got a C on the project if i recall.
